It does not lock down your phone securely. There is a lot of play in the clamp. The twist grip idea is nice to save space but there is no way to lock it in place once the phone is attached. Seems like a simple enough fix for a future gen of this model. It is a little bit of a disappointment and did not work for my needs.
This product worked as expected (read the directions for best results). The product was well-designed and well-made. The clamp gripped smartphones with confidence. The small profile was especially appreciated.

This is the perfect clamp for any phone type, snug fit and quick to setup
Nice and sturdy, seems very well built. Will not fit an iPhone X with an Otter Box case on it. Had to send it back and had to pay to ship it myself :(
It's sturdy enough to where you'll feel confident mounting your phone with it. Unfortunately, the lack of vertical mounting is a disappointment.
This expensive item is useless because the part you turn is loose. The phone also slips out because the grip is lame.
