    Dracast DRBR-LK-2X600D Reviews

DRBR-F-600D BoltRay LED Daylight 2-Light Kit is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Budget Kit *UPDATE* Unfortunately, I had to return these lights. As I listed in my previous review, there were things to like about these lights and things to dislike. But when I put it through it's very first day of shooting, one of the lights suddenly turned off. Then I turned the switch off and back on and it resolved itself. Shortly thereafter, it again turned off. Eventually, I realized that the fan inside the light was turning on and off randomly which allowed the light to overheat as a safety measure. Since I didn't want to try to replace the fan I had to return them. Such a shame too because the price was amazing, but I guess I'll just save up and get more of the CAME TV lights instead.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for price. These little guys have a good amount of output,(I’d say about a 350-500w tungsten) good sized yolk for adjustment, and convenient operation. The remote is nice if you fly them up high. The only real issue is the same one I’ve had with other Dracast fresnel (their classic ARRI looking series I haven tried their newest ones like the 1500 yes) and that is that the color temp has a magenta spike... I returned my 700 fresnels for this reason but these were so cheap (got them on sale) I just corrected it by adding a permanent 1/4 plus green to it and now they work like a charm! The little dome diffuser attachment works nice and makes it so they are almost a mini space light that you could hang. All in all on sale they are worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT for the money The light quality from this under-$300-daylight-LED is outstanding. It is very light weight, so it booms out as a hair light very nicely. I use it as a special to bring up backgrounds, highlight areas or objects, or as a back light. It is easy to fit into a tight area. Because it is so light, it feels cheap, and you have to be careful and take care of it. Would have given it 5 stars except for the flimsy, short power cord. Can't beat it for the $ though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good budget kit. The lights look very nice however, they have several quirks. Firstly, one has a clear sort of lens (not a fresnel) and the other has a diffusion lens. The diffused one has a slightly lower output than the other. The power cables are not interchangeable, if you swap them, the lights won't work properly. Also one power cable is way shorter than the other which means it leaves the power brick dangling off your light stand while the other one will sit nicely on the floor. Lastly, even though the remotes look identical they, like the power cords, are not interchangeable. If you try to use one with the other light, it will do nothing. The only other issue (which I was aware of when I bought them) is there is no way to attach a softbox. To be honest, I actually debated returning them but considering the price I figured all of the issues were worth it. The lights do seem to be of decent quality otherwise and the output, to my eyes, looks to be similar to the CAME TV Boltzen 55w. If you are on a very tight budget these should be okay. They also come with separate cases for each light, barndoors and a much larger case to hold everything in.
