Lowepro BP 350 AW II Reviews

Lightweight & compact

Very compact & lightweight. I was not able to put everything in that I had specifically said I needed this bag to handle. So, I am disappointed about that. Otherwise it seems nice.

Mistake

I made a mistake ordering this backpack. After hours of research & reading many reviews about how a laptop can fit into this backpack, I found that I can only fit a tablet into this backpack. Unfortunately, I purchased this for an airplane trip and need a backpack that fits the laptop so this is being returned.

Perfect for day hikes and photography

This backpack is the right size for carrying my gear (full frame DSLR and 2 lens - 3rd lens fits in upper area if necessary) a jacket, snacks, and a water battle on day hikes. It's not too big or too small and firmly holds everything in place.

Great photo backpack, got 250 and 350 (for my wife and myself). Hard to find a backpack that allows to carry two water bottles for longer hikes.

Great Travel Photo Backpack - after six + years of use

I did lots of research years ago before purchasing this bag at double the price you can get it today. My criteria included: the bag must be light to begin with, it should have a compartment on top for passports, accessories, drone or headset and all items must be easily accessible whether on a hike or before placing the bag in an overhead. The main compartment should have enough space for my Canon Mark IV (now the R5) and three lenses, flash and filters. I also needed to fit my MacBook Pro 13 (now 14) and an 11 iPad. Everything fits perfectly and there is so much room for other accessories. There is also a rain cover built in. I've used it on numerous trips overseas and its in mint condition and nothing has torn or ripped. The only issue - with any bag- is that the more you pack the heavier the load. That's why I needed a bag that was light. I've seen other bags from Lowepro that are larger and maybe look better and invite you to load it with lots of gear! If you are in great shape and want to travel with lots of gear on your back- go for it. Otherwise- this is a great backpack for both mirrorless and regular DSLR.

comfortable backpack

I am a 5'5 woman and this pack fits well. It is comfortable to wear, and not as hot as I expected. It holds a Canon 80D with 18-135 attached and a spare lens with room for a few extras in the bottom section. I like being able to turn it around and flip it down using the waist band so that I can access the camera without setting the backpack in the dirt.

not big enough, need 450

I gave this 5 stars for quality and comfort. After reading lots of reviews, and trying to determine what size I needed, I ordered the 350. However, after trying it out for a week, I realized I need the 450. I carry a Sony a7iii with either a Canon 70-200 attached, or a Canon 24-105, using a Metabones connection which adds a little more length. This bag just doesn't have that much space in the camera area. Pluses: seems durable, comfortable to wear, easy to access the rain cover (needed it when it started to hail in Colorado!).

question

Will this pack hold Canon 5D Mk III with 70-200mm lens attached, including lens hood?
Asked by: Anonymous
To hold the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L EF II IS USM lens along with the lens hood all connected, the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW Backpack (Gray/Dark Green) B&H # LOFTBP450AWB, would instead be recommended for your needs. The Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 350 AW Backpack may work if the items are not connected and the interior is customized for the gear, but is not recommended if the above items are to be used together while connected to each other.

question

Can the 350 version hold Canon 6D with 70-200 f/4 attached?
Asked by: Anonymous
It may be a little tight with a 70-200mm lens attached to the Canon 6D. I would suggest the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW Backpack instead, B&H #LOFTBP450AWB, it has a larger compartment and should better be able to accommodate an attached telephoto lens.
