As a lightweight, briefcase-sized system, the 17.3" Radius All-in-One Portable Desktop Computer from NextComputing is designed for professional users who need more power than a notebook and more portability than a traditional desktop workstation. The Radius is well-suited for capturing and editing video on location, recording and streaming live events, and incorporating real-time graphics. It fits most file-based digital video workflows.

Unlike other traditional desktop workstations where you have to buy a monitor separately, the Radius comes with its own 17.3" Full HD display. With an aspect ratio of 16:9 and resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Radius provides a full view of your 1080p content.

The system is powered by a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i7-8700 Six-Core processor, which can be overclocked up to 4.6 GHz. It also has 16GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM in a 2 x 8GB configuration, a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card with 2GB of discrete GDDR5 memory, two 1TB WD Black SATA III 2.5" / 9.5mm hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration, one 250GB SATA M.2 2280 solid state drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, a Gigabit Ethernet jack, and RealTek ALC892 7.1-channel audio. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Professional (64-bit).

General Features

Six-Core Coffee Lake Intel Core i7 Performance
The Radius houses an Intel Core i7-8700 processor. Its six cores can reach a stock speed of 3.2 GHz. With a dedicated 12MB Intel SmartCache and Intel Hyper-Threading technology, you'll be able to push the six cores into twelve virtual cores for efficient multitasking.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 Graphics
The Radius comes with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card with 2GB of discrete GDDR5 memory. The GeForce GT 1030 graphics has a Dual-Link DVI-D and an HDMI 2.0b port. This graphics card has the capability to connect up to two additional external displays, aside from the integrated 17.3" Full HD monitor.
17.3" Full HD Display
The 17.3" Full HD display features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1920 x 1080 native resolution. The Radius also has a removable protective cover to keep the display free from scratches while you're transporting it.
Storage
Recording video takes up a lot of space. Fortunately, the Radius features dual 1TB 7200 rpm WD Black SATA III 2.5" / 9.5mm hard drives configured in RAID 0 to an onboard Intel SATA III 6 Gb/s controller. There is also a 250GB SATA M.2 2280 solid-state drive (SSD) for the operating system, ensuring fast booting and long-term reliability. Please note that the Radius can only fit 2.5" hard drives or solid state drives. 3.5" hard drives are not supported.
Durable Design
The Radius has a durable aluminum alloy chassis with enhanced passive cooling, segmented processing, I/O, and storage. The built-in handle makes it easy to carry. The low acoustic 680W power supply module inside the Radius has intelligent thermal-sensing, fan-stepping technology.
Included Accessories
A Logitech MK200 USB wired mouse and keyboard combo, a soft traveling carrying case, and a Radius bezel are all included.
Chassis
This chassis is made from a durable aluminum alloy small form-factor micro-ATX based chassis sub-structure with enhanced passive cooling, segmented processing, I/O, and storage.
Power
A 680W power supply module has an 80 Plus efficiency rating.
Internal Ports
2 x USB 2.0 headers (supports four USB 2.0 ports), 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 headers (supports four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports), 1 x Print port header, 1 x COM port header, 1 x TPM header, 6 x SATA III Gb/s connectors, supports RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10, Intel Rapid Storage Technology 15), NCQ, AHCI, and Hot Plug, 1 x Ultra M.2 Socket (M2_1), supports M-Key type 2230/2242/2260/2280 M.2 SATA III 6 Gb/s module and M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen 3 x4 (32 Gb/s), 1 x Ultra M.2 Socket (M2_2), supports M-Key type 2230/2242/2260/2280 M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen3 x4 (32 Gb/s)

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
