The 100% Unfiltered Audio Bundle V1.0 from Unfiltered Audio provides five plug-ins that while dealing with standard audio issues, solve them in a non-standard manner.

  • Dent - Distortion Plug-In (Download)
Dent from Unfiltered Audio is a distortion plug-in focusing on "digital destruction" rather than on "sweet-sounding" tube and tape emulation. The plug-in mutilates sounds at the wave-cycle level for a twisted makeover. Six bit-crushers, a sampling-rate reducer, and signal clippers are just some of the distortion tools available. Slash the amplitude of just the negative phase of a clean electric guitar's signal, use the Shape control to square the signal tops, and ramp up the harmonic content with wavefold. A probability control emulates failing guitar-amp tubes, and an internal sequencer can create rhythmic distortion.

Other processors provide the ability to invert the negative phase of a comping piano on most but not all of the signal's wave cycles, or lower the built-in low-pass filter's cutoff and boost resonance to make the keys sound like a distant explosion. Six freely assignable modulators can be patched to most of the plug-in's controls. Use LFOs to produce conventional stereo wah, or to transform heavy-distortion processing into auto-panned DJ-scratching effects. Modulate DC offset with an input follower to make a snare drum track with hi-hat bleed sound like heavy machinery pounding away on an industrial assembly line.
Presets featuring settings from The Crystal Method, Mirrorball Entertainment, Julius Dobos, and Toby Pitman of Air Studios
Six bit-crushing algorithms (including a circuit-bent toy simulation)
Four clippers - Hard Clip (digital), Soft Clip (analog emulation), harmonically complex Wavefold, or Overfold
Continuously variable bias and split controls progressively add DC signal to one or both phases of the input signal
Two waveshapers independently adjust the amplitude of (and optionally invert) positive and negative phase components of the signal
Sound-warping shape control progressively squares off or pinches waveform peaks
Probabilistic and Sequential Waveset (internal step-sequencer) processing creates dynamic rhythmic patterns for the distorted signal with a simple twist of two knobs
Modulation system provides six freely assignable modulators (sine LFO, sawtooth/triangle LFO, square-wave LFO, input follower, sample-and-hold noise, and macro control knob) with drag-and-drop virtual patching to most of Dent's controls
Adjustable, analog-style low-pass filter, with separate resonance control, can be placed pre- or post-distortion
Continuously variable SR control progressively degrades the sampling rate of processed signal by directly manipulating the software's internal DSP
    Mix control provides parallel processing
Zoomed-in waveform display shows the shape of wave cycles after processing to aid in editing decisions
Crunchy analog-style tones like guitar pedal effects, or digital demolition-like bit-crushing and sample rate reduction
Add attitude to vocals with input gain, square up bass tracks with the Shaper, obliterate samples with the bits and sample rate reducers, and run it all through a low-pass filter
  • Fault - Pitch and Time Manipulation Plug-In (Download)
Fault from Unfiltered Audio is a plug-in that provides the ability to manipulate pitch and time, whether during mix down to fortify weak tracks, or in sound design to totally mangle instruments beyond recognition. The software features three main processors. Dual-channel pitch shifters musically retune sounds up or down up to a full octave, in steps as small as 0.1 semitone. The stereo frequency shifter can be modulated by precision FM controls to create beautiful and discordant sounds alike; and stereo delays use cross-channel feedback and filters to add depth.

Freely assignable modulators can create realistic-sounding ADT (Automatic Double Tracking) effects for vocals, while modulating an LFO patched into the stereo pitch shifters with a second LFO can create tape recorder-style varispeed ADT effects. For hard rock and alt-rock productions, the plug-in can create sub-octave effects on drum room microphones. With the use of the frequency shifters' FM controls, it can make a grand piano track sound like an electric keyboard under water, or like tiny birds chirping.

Conventional effects are also possible, including ping-pong delays, chorus, flanging, and more. Independent stereo parameters facilitate the ability to broaden sounds while an internal M/S matrix allows for width control and optional output to mid and side components for further processing. On top of everything, every control knob and switch setting can itself be controlled by up to six modulators.
    Artifact-free frequency and pitch modulation
Over 100 presets featuring settings from Richard Devine, The Crystal Method, Mirrorball Entertainment, and Toby Pitman of Air Studios
Dual-channel pitch shifters can be stereo-linked and quantized to whole-integer semitones
Stereo frequency shifter can be modulated using high-resolution FM frequency and depth controls
Stereo delays can be synced to host's tempo
Six feedback paths, three each for the frequency shifter and delays, including cross-channel feedback
Modulation system provides six freely assignable and fully automatable modulators—sine, sawtooth/triangle and square-wave LFOs, input follower, sample-and-hold noise, and macro control knob, with drag-and-drop virtual patching to every control knob
Mid/Side processing adjusts stereo image from mono to super-wide, and provides optional output in M/S for further processing
High and low-pass filters can be switched to process just the wet signal, or both wet and dry
    Dry/Wet control provides parallel processing
Built-in soft clipper, anti-aliasing filters, low-fi sampling rate control, and ring-modulator mode
  • G8 - Dynamic Noise Gate Plug-In (Download)
The G8 from Unfiltered Audio is a dynamic noise gate plug-in that reaches beyond what a traditional noise gate can do. In addition to gating and transient shaping, the software can create dynamic rhythm patterns on sustained sounds, trigger an envelope on the plug-in with MIDI input, or use it to trigger notes on a MIDI instrument. Or it can produce interesting fractal sequences and auto-panning effects with Delay and Output Reject.

Using Cycle Mode and One-Shot, it's possible to create dramatic motion with the G8's envelope, reducing the time value of the envelope to mere milliseconds, resulting in AM synthesis. The Expert Mode of the G8 features four-channel input that allows for complex in-DAW routing of different levels and types of content. The software can split the amplitude of a single source to route two different characteristics of a sound to different tracks – the Mains and the Reject.
"Cycle" gating mode provides the ability to use the G8 as a stutter effect, an AM/granular effect, or a tremolo
"One-shot" gating mode allows for surgical transient shaping from any type of sound
Custom MIDI In/Out – trigger G8 with an instrument or extract grooves from an audio track to trigger an instrument with G8
Route post-gate, "Reject Outputs" to another track, or use "Flip" mode to swap Reject Outputs with the main output, essentially reversing the behavior of the plug-in
Four-channel analysis (sidechain) input – two internal and two external, each independently filtered and gain-controlled
    Precise triggering with look-ahead analysis
    RMS and Peak detection modes
Variable reduction of gated signal allows for subtler processing
    Wet/dry mix for parallel processing
  • Indent - Saturation Plug-In (Download)
Indent from Unfiltered Audio is a plug-in that provides saturation for electric guitar, bass, synthesizer, or drum tracks, with the ability to vary the effect from subtle grit to destructive overdrive. Four different-sounding clippers at the plug-in's input and output stages can add saturation with the desired "color," which can then be further refined by adjusting the analog-style low-pass filter's cutoff and resonance controls.

A mix control blends the amount of dry and processed signals, for adding just a hint of saturation or going full overdrive. The modulation system adds both conventional and cutting-edge effects, using six different freely assignable and fully automatable modulators that can be patched to every control knob with drag-and-drop ease.

Classic tempo-synced tremolo and wah wah effects are simple to create, while modulating a drum's input gain with an envelope follower can make stick hits explode, microphone bleed shrink, or transform hits down to split-second spikes. Modulate cutoff and resonance with a tempo-synced square-wave LFO to make saturated guitar tracks pulse and resonate to a song's tempo.
Produce both familiar guitar pedal-style effects and unusual sounds
Simple controls and intuitive visual interface help saturate or mutilate tracks quickly and easily
Choose one of four clipping algorithms independently for input and output stages—Hard Clip (digital), Soft Clip (analog emulation), Wavefold, and Overfold
Modulation system provides six freely assignable and fully automatable modulators—sine, sawtooth/triangle and square-wave LFOs, input follower, sample-and-hold noise, and macro control knob, with drag-and-drop virtual patching to every control knob
Analog-style low pass filter with continuously variable resonance control
    Mix control provides parallel processing
Display shows processed signal at the sample level to aid in editing decisions
  • Sandman - Delay Plug-In (Download)
Sandman from Unfiltered Audio is a delay plug-in that on the surface appears like a regular delay processor with all the basic parameters. Host syncable delay time and ping-pong feedback, along with a wet/dry mix and a filter for flanging, comb filtering, or adding string-like texture to percussive sounds. The sample rate parameter can add vintage grime, or decimate a sound by lowering the sample rate of the DSP engine, and an adjacent "Dirt" switch delivers the characteristic sound of a lo-fi recording.

However, it is the "Sleep" button that engages the deeper aspects of the plug-in. When activated, audio can be frozen at any point in time to create a loop based on the delay value, with the ability to adjust the sample start and end points. Long delay values can produce beat-repeats or stutter effects, while shorter values turn the plug-in into what is essentially a wavetable synthesizer. The start and end times can even overlap each other, reversing the sample by up to 100%.

Dropping the sample rate and delay time while sleep is engaged essentially creates granular synthesis. Several parameters can be modulated by a syncable LFO section, while an advanced de-clicking algorithm ensures clean edges, no matter how much mayhem ensues. If things get out of hand, a kill switch returns the process to "normal" functioning.
"Sleep" function creates locked loops by freezing the delay buffer, allowing the start and end time to be manipulated by up to 100%
Sample rate parameter directly controls the time-frequency domain of the sample, slowing or re-pitching the sound
Dual LFOs allow bipolar modulation of nearly every parameter
"Dirt" switch for some gritty vintage effect
    Ping-pong mode for stereo effects
    Wet/Dry mix for parallel processing
Granulate or reverse loops, then mangle or morph them into a completely different sound
Add fluttery spring echo or silky ambience with time, feedback, and filter controls in mono or stereo
Create warps and warbles for sound design or live performance
Delay times from 5 ms to 5 sec—up to 8 minutes available by adjusting the sample rate
