all the newer Iphone such as the iphone 7,8,X and above they have only one connection which is lightning to make the phone charge faster.

It will deliver sound from Android, and control on-off. But volume controls don't work.

Why is a lightning connector shown in pictures whereas a 3.5mm jack is mentioned? Which is the correct one?
The listing is for earpods with 3.5mm jack. The lightning connector picture was uploaded by a customer. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the customer picture is inaccurate.
