Designed for video and stills shooters alike, the Lumix DMC-G85 from Panasonic is a versatile Micro Four Thirds camera characterized by its quick performance, flexible photo capabilities, and UHD 4K video recording. Using a 16MP MOS sensor, this mirrorless camera has a sensitivity range from ISO 200-25600 to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions, and also affords quick shooting speeds up to 10 fps with single-shot autofocus, or 6 fps with continuous autofocus, as well as up to 40 fps when using an electronic shutter function and 30 fps at 8MP with 4K PHOTO Modes. Benefitting working in difficult lighting conditions, 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization can be used to dramatically reduce the appearance of camera shake, and this IS system pairs with select lens' image stabilization systems for Dual I.S.

So is there just one battery?
Asked by: Gabe
There are two batteries included with this kit. One would be an original Panasonic battery in the box with the camera and an extra Watson battery packaged separately.

Does this lens good for begginer?

Does this lens good for begginer?
Asked by: oriel
A very good choice for a beginner. It has a nice range. You can take wide angle shots in a city environment, and you can also take some telephoto shots to bring far things much closer. It's a nice weight and balances well on the Lumix's G85. Easy to carry all day long.

Difference between this one and DMC-G85MK?? ...

Difference between this one and DMC-G85MK?? Thanks
Asked by: Armando
I had to go to the Panasonic web site to find the answer to this question. The G85 is sold only as a kit with the lens in the US. The body only option is only available directly from Panasonic. Panasonic list the Kit as the DMC-G85MK and the body only as the DMC-G85K. The picture of the B&H package is actually the DMC-G85MK. The kit packaging will show the G85MK label but the camera body is labeled as a G85. This may be simply due to the way the kit is packaged. The lens is in a brown cardboard box within the kit and not packaged separately. In my opinion this is a very good buy. I would have preferred the G95 but quite honestly, the only major difference is in the sensor. I have a GX8 (20 MP) and this camera (16 MP) and really would be hard pressed to see any differences in the images either produces. I DEFINITELY would have preferred the body only option as I sold the kit lens (Not needing a second one.).

Would a Nikon SB-600 speedlight work well with this camera?
Asked by: Mark
It would be less than Ideal. The SB600 is designed to communicate with a Nikon camera. Godox makes a unit that would work well https://bhpho.to/2YiE19O.
