    Samsung C24FG70 reviews

    C24FG70 24" 16:9 Curved LCD Monitor is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but could be better I currently own the 24 inch model of this monitors. While the 144hz refresh rate is nice the screen needs to be 1440p. The monitor I upgraded from I had been using since 2007 and it had better picture quality. I would not buy this monitor again unless I comes in a higher resolution model. The arena lighting is a waste for me and I never turn it on. The curved screen is different and it does add some appeal to this monitor but the 1080p makes games more pixilated than I would prefer them to be. The 27 inch model would only have a bigger issue with this. All in all it's an ok monitor but I would wait for an upgraded version before buying one of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great monitor I've had this monitor for a month now and love it. Great picture, bright and sharp. Viewing angles are nice. Menu is easy to navigate and the joystick style button is nice. Stand is pretty decent, though if your desk is up against a wall you may have issues with the angled stand, but nothing that effects the overall quality of the product. I would have given this 5 stars but in the last week the monitor has developed a raster line across the top about 1/2 inch below frame. As i am recovering from back surgery i'm unable to exchange this for a new one. I am very bummed that the line started as i love this monitor but understand this cant be foreseen, I just hope this is the only line that develops.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead Pixles Had this monitor for not even 6 months and half the screen went bad on me... one day it worked perfect, and the next it was dead. Would not recommend this product to anyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best gaming monitor ever I just received this monitor I have to say it is the best computer monitor I have ever owned. The 1ms response time and 144mhz refresh rate is amazing. Coming from a 24 inch TN panel at 60mhz I can not truly describe how incredible this difference is.(Note that you must use the display port to achieve anything above 60mhz --- The DP cable is included :) ). The Quantom Dot technology delivers colors that are super vibrant and pop off of the screen. Screen tearing is a thing of the past with this 144mhz 1ms beauty. The colors are incredibly accurate and very rich. The contrast ratio of 3000:1 is a thing of beauty. The dark colors are outstanding with no back light bleeding, even the IPS panels are no match. The on screen display is very intuitive and well designed. The ability to save 3 profiles for games or movies and everyday computing is a nice touch coupled with the built in gaming profiles. The curved monitor is great, it really draws you in as well as saving desk space. Set up was very simple and the stand is very sturdy and very flexible in allowing you to easily raise and lower, swivel as well as rotate. It comes with an extra bracket if you want to attach it onto a wall mount. In conclusion this is hands down the best monitor you can buy. The Quantom Dot technology is absolutely unreal and a must have. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gaming monitor It is a beautiful and outstanding monitor. It is all good except for taking a lot of space behind. Make sure use display port connection to use 144hz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible I got this on sale for $200. There is absolutely nothing on the market that even remotely comes close for the money. The colors are like nothing I've seen before, even my Samsung television looks worse (though it is a lower end model; MU6300). I played a bit of Doom on it yesterday and it's like a different game. Yes, I know that technically the colors are oversaturated being that this monitor is wide gamut, but it does so without destroying the shades in-between, unlike artificial saturation/vibrance enhancement, which makes all the difference. I was very pleasantly surprised with the very little perceptible motion blur that this monitor has despite its use of a VA panel (as well as its excellent overdrive implementation; there is little to no overshoot). The built-in strobing feature is excellent, although the lack of brightness adjustment when it is enabled is unfortunate. The black level is as expected: beautiful. This is the primary reason to purchase a VA LCD after all, and it delivers. According to pcmonitors.info, this screen hits solid contrast ratios across the board at every brightness setting, most coming very close to the quoted 3000:1 figure. The curve is interesting, it seems to help alleviate some of the VA glow at the edges of the screen, but otherwise seems a bit gimmicky. The refresh rate is nothing new for me, but of course is something that once seen one cannot be without; I will never buy a monitor with a refresh rate below 120 Hz again. FreeSync will be unused by myself but I am aware that the range on this monitor is not very good, the low-end being only 70 Hz. As I said before, however, there is nothing on the market that comes close to touching this monitor if it can be had for ~$200. Incredible color, 144 Hz, VA black levels. Need more be said?
