Rokinon 20mm f/1.8 Overview

Designed for Nikon F-mount DSLRs, this 20mm f/1.8 ED AS UMC Lens from Rokinon is a bright wide-angle prime featuring an intuitive manual focus design and enhanced optical construction. Two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness, clarity, and reduced distortion. A wide-angle prime designed for FX Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras, this 20mm f/1.8 lens can also be used on DX models where it will provide a 30mm equivalent focal length.
Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field for selective focus control.
Two aspherical elements are used to reduce spherical aberrations for increased sharpness and minimized distortion.
Three extra-low dispersion elements help to control chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color fidelity.
An Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to individual elements in order to reduce flare and ghosting for increased contrast and a neutral color balance.
Manual focus operation allows for precise control with a minimum focusing distance of 7.9".
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.

Is it possible to use an 82-77 mm step down ...

Is it possible to use an 82-77 mm step down filter adapter so I can use the lens with an 82 mm screw on filter?
Asked by: Steve
A step-down filter is designed to use a smaller filter on a lens with a larger filter thread. As such, you would not use a step-down filter to connect an 82mm filter on a 77mm lens filter thread. You would instead need a 77-82mm step-up filter to connect an 82mm filter on the lens' 77mm filter thread. However, do note that if you use a step-up filter, you may not be able to use the lens hood and may need to remove the lens hood from the lens before using the larger filter setup. The Sensei 77-82mm Step-Up Ring, B&H # SESUR7782, would allow you to use an 82mm filter on the Rokinon 20mm f/1.8 ED AS UMC Lens for Nikon F.
