A sleek and versatile normal-length prime, the GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR from FUJIFILM is a 50mm equivalent lens for the G-mount GFX camera system. Its 10 elements, eight groups optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color accuracy throughout the aperture range. A fluorine coating has also been added to the front element to repel moisture and the lens also features a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant construction for use in inclement conditions. Additionally, a manual aperture ring is featured for intuitive, tactile adjustment over exposure settings, and a Command position can also be set for camera-based control over the aperture.

FUJIFILM GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR Reviews
great lens, slow focus
to be expected for larger lenses on larger system, but focus is just slower on this system compared to sony emount system (no surprise) other than that the external focus movement catches on my finger every once in a while. Great lens though. Just nitpicking.
Most Used Lens on my System
Great all-purpose lens! I think they should have made a f/2.0 version of this with a higher build quality, but it is a very well made lens. Love the images that come from this one. Really beautiful!
Sharp, small, light, affordable.
Of all the GF lenses I have owned or tried I keep coming back to this one for many shots. The focal length happens to fall into the range I tend to use often and its easier to carry around than many of the other GF lenses. I've used the GF 50mm f/3.5 and liked it but the low magnification (.1X compared to .17X) and smaller (slower) aperture with its associated depth of field characteristics were a deal breaker as I enjoy close-ups of small objects with substantial subject separation. The shallow depth of field qualities of the GF 63mm are pretty decent with nice bokeh and excellent sharpness. Autofocus is reasonably quick though noisier and slower than the GF 50mm. Plenty fast enough and the noise is not really a problem. I also prefer the longer focal length. I take a lot of aircraft photos and at least for aircraft such as WW II and modern jet fighters as with people, they tend to look a bit more flattering at this focal length (50mm eq) compared to 40mm eq of the GF 50mm. Personal opinion of course. It might not be as glamorous as the GF 110mm f/2 but an excellent and useful lens, a good first choice.
Small lens -great price!
Very nice lens especially for the price. Only got it recently but the resolution is great and the lens is manageable.
works as advertised, it is a beautiful piece of glass, just wish that at this time I could afford a couple more
Kit lens price - otus lens quality
I bought this lens to start me off with my 50s as it was the cheapest g mount lens. I wasn’t expecting it to be so high end optically and physically?! Fujifilm do have a reputation for surprising their customers, and this lens is one example in how they do that. Imagine buying say, a 400mm 2.8 canon lens at the same price, not realising that they are usually 10 times that amount. Then you realise what an absolute bargain you just got. Well, welcome to the least talked about g-mount lens, the 63mm 2.8. This focal length is available in the 33-64mm zoom option, but this lens is much MUCH smaller and lighter. This lens is an awesome travel lens. It is in that focal range that you could just step forwards or backwards a few steps to perfectly compose you shot. So light and easy to manoeuvre in and out of your small or large bag. Filters are easily available and not expensive as the size is very common. Weather dust and temp sealed for that extra ‘I just got a bargain’ feel. Fast AF. Cons - too cheap $$$, your left with too much change your forced to buy another g-mount lens?! - too light weight. My chiseled biceps aren’t getting the workout they deserve!! - optically too good, I’m like a cat a I hate surprises!! - build quality only just as good as otus series, meh! Who ever said otus was good anyway?! Every lens has pros and cons. A gave it 5 stars as the pros far out wat the cons Just remember, don’t screem in the camera store once you’ve bought this lens - even though you will feel like you’ve won the poweball...
Great lens for video as well
Works as advertised.
Not much experience with it yet, thanks to COVID-19 but my test shots look great. So far so good.
