A sleek and versatile normal-length prime, the GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR from FUJIFILM is a 50mm equivalent lens for the G-mount GFX camera system. Its 10 elements, eight groups optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color accuracy throughout the aperture range. A fluorine coating has also been added to the front element to repel moisture and the lens also features a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant construction for use in inclement conditions. FUJIFILM GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR Reviews
Must buy!
I’m a full time promotional photographer and I switched over to the Fuji gfx 50sii platform last year. In the studio I use the 110, the 80 and the 63mm most of the time. The 63 has the perfect amount of distortion for fashion and portraits and is tack sharp. It doesn’t have the build quality of the 80, 55 and the 23mm lenses but it’s well made, focuses fast enough (for medium format) and produces gorgeous images. I already owed the 55 and the 80 so I debated getting another lenses in between those focal lengths but I’m so glad I did. I now find myself using this lens all the time during my studio sessions multiple times a week. It’s lightweight, relatively small and a must buy for the serious gfx user!
great lens, slow focus
to be expected for larger lenses on larger system, but focus is just slower on this system compared to sony emount system (no surprise) other than that the external focus movement catches on my finger every once in a while. Great lens though. Just nitpicking.
