Offering a versatile wide-angle perspective, the GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR from FUJIFILM is a 36mm equivalent lens for the G-mount GFX camera system. With a slightly wider-than-normal field of view, this lens is ideal for everyday shooting and its f/2.8 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions. Its optical design incorporates one aspherical element and two extra-low dispersion elements to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness and clarity. A Nano GI coating has also been applied to individual elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy. Contributing to its flexibility, the lens also features a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant construction for use in inclement conditions. Additionally, a manual aperture ring is featured for intuitive, tactile adjustment over exposure settings, and a Command position can also be set for camera-based control over the aperture.

Astonishing resolution
The sharpest lens I own (of several dozen, including 5 Fujinon lenses for the GFX 100S), and wonderful color rendering. Just an amazing lens.

Image quality
Like all other GFX lenses, the image quality is phenomenal. The cons IMO is size and slowish autofocus, but that's the trade off for going medium format. The fact that I can take my 50R to the streets around my neck and capture super sharp and detailed images is amazing. If image quality is a priority, then that's the best 35 I've ever had. I'm a big Fuji fanboy, I really like their products and what they have done for sensible artists and photographers.

Image quality is Best I've ever seen.
Love it
It is big; it is huge and heavy, especially compared to my m4/3 setup. But image quality is otherworldly beautiful, and movements are smooth. I am very happy with the images coming out of this lens.

This is an excellent walk around all purpose fast lens. Its quality is unsurpassed. I recently used it on a Mt. Katahdin hike to keep my weight down a bit and it served me well. Highly recommended lens for a GFX system.
