Explore the world beneath the water's surface without getting wet, using the Aquabotix Endura 100WI Mini ROV for Water Inspection. This edition of the remote-operated vehicle is well-suited to checking water supplies and tanks. It can also be used in the study of marine life and environments, as well as the examination of the undersides of boats and the execution of search-and-recovery missions.

This ROV is submersible to 328' and provides a Full HD 1080/24p live video feed to the surface. It also features video recording and photo capture. It ships without the required tether/cable, which is available in neutrally buoyant copper and fiber types of various lengths. The tether connects to the included topside box, which generates its own Wi-Fi signal that allows you to connect your iPad or PC/Mac via the free, downloadable Aquabotix ROV app. This app lets you view the vehicle's live video feed on your computer's display and remotely control its movements and functions.

The Endura is equipped with 32GB of memory to hold captured video and photos, and optional, alternate configurations provide 128, 256, 512, 1024, or 2048GB for greater storage capacity. The camera features 120° tilt capability along with a wide-angle lens, and the dome port corrects for underwater size distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer--thereby helping to restore wider coverage so you can fit more in the frame. Additionally, the ROV offers LED lighting that outputs an impressive 4400 lumens to help illuminate dark environments.

Five Swiss-made, high torque motors and left, right, and rear propellers drive the Endura through the water, giving you control over the vehicle's forward and vertical motion, and this WI configuration also includes a lateral thruster and accepts an optional high-output thruster for extra versatility and power. Another helpful feature of the Endura is its ability to carry a payload of up to 4 lb.

  • There's also a depth sensor that gives you readings on underwater depth of vehicle with extremely high accuracy
  • This allows you to drive ROV to exact depth needed for your purposes, and record notes on what you find at different depths so you can locate it again
  • Additional sensor detects and indicates temperature of water where vehicle is located, helping to ensure you're not going below the minimum for operating ROV, and allowing you to make note of differences in organisms and plant life at various temperatures
  • Leak detection sensor notifies you immediately in unlikely event of a breach in vehicle's waterproof seal, so you can bring it to surface right away

Aquabotix ROV App for iPad or PC

How it Works
  • Downloadable app for iPad or laptop computer enables remote control of vehicle over Wi-Fi connection
  • Allows you to maneuver ROV through water and activate/adjust settings and features, such as speed and environmental sensors, right from your tablet or PC
  • iOS app available on iTunes store or Aquabotix website. PC app available on Aquabotix website
  • After downloading, connect to Endura Wi-Fi network
  • Can use game controller to operate vehicle from PC by inserting dongle into computer's USB slot
  • iPad app compatible with base vehicle configurations, optional grabber arm, and environmental sensors; it is not compatible with other options, such as sonar
  • PC app, however, is compatible with these other options
Saving Photos and Videos
  • On iPad, click on photo or video tab at bottom of application screen, then click green arrow to download an image or red x to delete it
  • Photos and videos saved to iPad can then be saved to computer by using iPhoto (for a Mac), or by plugging iPad in and selecting 'Import Pictures and Videos' from the pop-up (for Windows)
  • If using a computer, photos are stored directly on it; videos are stored in vehicle's memory and can then be downloaded from PC app to your laptop
Using LAN Connection
  • If using computer, you can connect to topside box via wired LAN connection, as alternative to Wi-Fi
  • Requires Cat 5e network cable, which connects topside box to computer
  • You will not be able to connect to internet and vehicle at same time when unit is connected
