Crucial MX300 overview

  • 1Description

Speed up the performance and capacity of your system with the 2TB MX300 SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD from Crucial. This drive is built with 3D NAND technology that accelerates the drive's performance with up to 530 MB/s reads and 510 MB/s writes. In addition to performance, this technology enhances the life span of the drive. Crucial has built this drive to be 7mm high and includes a 9.5mm adapter so it can fit in taller bays. The MX300 is compatible with systems that feature a SATA interface and a bay supporting 2.5" form factors. Furthermore, Acronis True Image HD is provided for migrating data from your old drive to the MX300 SSD.

Instantly Improve System Performance
The Crucial MX300 reaches read speeds of up to 530 MB/s and write speeds of up to 510 MB/s on all file types, so that systems can boot up almost instantly, experience reduced load times, and accelerate demanding applications. Plus, Dynamic Write Acceleration technology uses an adaptable pool of high-speed, single-level cell flash memory to generate fast speeds throughout the drive's long life.
90x More Energy Efficient than a Typical Hard Drive
Extreme Energy Efficiency technology within the Crucial MX300 reduces the amount of active power usage that's consumed by the drive. The Crucial MX300 extends your laptop's battery life by using only 0.075W of power, compared to a typical hard drive that uses 6.8W.
Endurance
With an endurance rating of up to 220TB total bytes written, the Crucial MX300 is engineered with Micron 3D NAND to deliver years of fast performance. 3D NAND technology leverages large NAND cells to improve performance and prolong endurance.
Keep Your System Cool
In addition to lower active power usage, Adaptive Thermal Protection technology dynamically adjusts the storage component's activity. This technology helps keep your system cool and minimizes the risk of damage caused by overheating.
Crucial Storage Executive
This downloadable tool is easy-to-use and helps to monitor and enhance the performance of your Crucial MX300. You can update to the latest firmware and enable the Momentum Cache feature in Storage Executive to improve burst performance instantly.

    Crucial MX300 reviews

2TB MX300 SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Fast SSD Upgraded to this SSD for the huge amount of space and the speed. No more waiting for long access times, this thing boots extremely quickly! A whole 2tb capacity for me meant I could easily replace my computers spinning disk, which also means no more annoying vibrations. Speeds are about the same as any other SATA SSD I've used and I feel no difference from my previous Samsung 850 EVO. Pros: - Fast - Huge capacity - No moving parts Cons: - Somewhat pricey If you can afford it, this is definitely the SSD to replace your spinning disk. It's not the fastest SSD on the market, you definitely won't be getting PCIe NVME SSD speeds, but the price per gigabyte for an SSD is fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish I bought this sooner! I installed this in a workstation that already had dual xeon processors, 128 GB of RAM, a 500 MB M.2 SSD boot drive, and external USB3 and USB-C hard drives. As a test, I copied a 172 MB .TIF image from the USB 3 drive to both the USB-C and the new 2TB SSD. It took about 7 seconds to copy to the USB-C drive. Less than 2 seconds on the 2 TB SSD. Blink, and you'd miss it. It's that fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy I got it -can't go back to regular hard drives anymore The installation is easy. This comes with Acronis True Image HD software to help you clone your hard drive and move everything from your old hard drive to this SSD. This SSD drive is really fast not just for booting up but also for everything. What used to take about 45 seconds to boot up is now about 10 seconds. I know for certain right now that I cannot go back to a regular 5400rpm or 7200rpm hard drive as my main drive. Yes, it is a lot more expensive than a regular hard drive, but you will be happy once you get it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best priced 2tb ssd I'm a dj & I have about 1.6 TB of music on my laptop & in an extrnal HDD, so I bought a 2tb HDD to put into my laptop. I then virtual cut the 2tb in half & I formatted the drive to think it was two different HDDs so I no longer needed to bring along my external HDD. So now I upgraded again to a SSD & it's just lightning fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Critically it is reliable Tried so MANY Samsung SSD that all would have errors created in them within 3 months. It appears the Samsung SDD drives (2TB pro) could not handle interruptions to handle and would fail the drive. Crucial's 2TB is solid ... running smooth as can be. Rather trade up a touch of performance for reliability this drive provides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very timely shipping by crucial I have used crucial before for corsair memory in a old Pentium 4 machine and it is still working. I will follow up with a review after Christmas on this 2TB SSD when I will be able to install it as a christmas gift. I will be able to test it at that time. So far so good thank you Crucial you make things easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great SSD for very good price This very nice, reliable SSD for very good price. I had Crucial 500GB MX300 SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD, so this product line isn't new to me, but every time I'm impressed with their speed and reliability. And having the 2 TB one - what can be better?
