The RFS 2.2 is easy to operate, very reliable and universal. With the transmitter in the camera ( nikon, Leica m10p, SL, Q2 ) and the RFS connected to pack in the receiver mode you can trigger Broncolor packs ( Primo, Pulso, Grafitt ) and others. However the HSS function as well as the power controls are limited to Broncolor packs and mono lites with built in RFS2.2 receivers.

I would buy this product again but hope I do not have to!

This is the ultimate RFS transmitter! The additional shoe on top allows me to connect an additional pocket wizard and combine my broncolor Siros L location lights with my studio lights (Profoto) when needed. Excellent range and nice feature to be able to turn on my modeling lights from my camera! Easy to switch power on moonlights as well. I was tuned into this RFS within 20 minutes not shooting.

Probably would recommend, but must test more to confirm...

Just tried unit out for first time with Broncolor Move 1200L and a Para-133. The point was to check out HSS, which did seem to work okay... but, instructions accompanying the RFS 2.2 N Transceiver do leave something to be desired (like, giving benefit of doubt, that the translation between Swiss and English is less than totally perfect... which has left me with some additional things to try out before making any true conclusions. To be fair, I used a Nikon D810 body that had just come back from USB3.0 connector repairs at Nikon and (as seems to be their norm) it appears that my previous custom settings were (for 2nd time) not restored, so I must go back through everything there to insure Nikon (L.A.) Servicing did not (again) cause me to have unnecessary problems through their we can't be bothered with that approach to servicing. And, it's actually even worse than that, but not appropriate to elaborate here... I am generally good with what I've experienced so far on the transceiver, but must further pursue this to insure I truly have desired control of shutter speed (when on Manual setting for shooting).

Excellent remote !

This is the RFS 2.2 transceiver for Nikon. It is cheap in compare to other remotes in the market. Very simple to use. If you want to shoot in hyper sync, just press that button, turn the wheel and choose on and press the button again. That's it and start shooting up to 1/8000 of a second. You can also increase or decrease the power output from the remote. This remote lights up so you should be able to see your setup even if it is dark. I tried this remote with my both Nikon cameras : D750 and D500 and it did work as it should. Highly recommended.

question

I'm planning to use both the Siros 800L and Siros 400S. Will the RFS 2.2 Transceiver control the Siros 400S?
Asked by: John
I just copy this from their technical data. The RFS 2.2 transceiver operates as a remote control or radio flash trigger for one or more Broncolor power packs or monolights equipped with an RFS 2 interface. Power packs or monolights not equipped with an RFS 2 interface can be operated by connecting an RFS 2.2 transceiver (as a receiver). RFS 2.2 includes the new Broncolor HS (Hipper Sync) technology which allows exposure times up to 1/8000 s and is available at the moment* for Siros L, Siros 800 S, Siros 800 and Move with the respective software update.

question

is this the only accessory required to shoot wirelessly via dslr to the 800 L? do you need to purchase an additional wireless receiver to attach to the strobe head?
Asked by: Loren W.
Yes! The Siros 800L has an integrated RFS2 receiver, so only this camera transmitter is needed to fire the flash remotely, control power, toggle the modeling lamp, and HS.

question

Will the RFS 2.2 work with my Photogenic 1250 monolights and what would be my fastest sync speed with this set-up?
Asked by: Joaquin
The RFS2.2 cam be used as a receiver with non-broncolor lamps via its PC sync output port and communicate with a separate transceiver. Sync speed in this configuration is limited to the cameras maximum x-sync. When using broncolor Siros and Move lamps, HS mode allows for synchronization up to 1/8000s.
