question

Can this unit be used with a thru- the-glass window mounted antenna?
Asked by: Donald
Yes it can, as long as it is a CB antenna, it will work with this radio. Our specific model is 182442, but there are other CB window mounts that will work with it as well.

question

How does one avoid the whine or hum from the 12V socket with a radio like this?
Asked by: James
Do you have the same noise with the battery pack? If you do then the noise is being generated on frequency and there is nothing that can be done. If the noise occurs when the 12v plug is plugged in you would need to install a noise filter. Midland does not have a noise filter for a cigarette liter adapter. You may be able to find one on line.
