question

What kind of computer did you use for the setup?
Asked by: lars b.
You can use this with any Windows computer that has a Thunderbolt 3 interface. But it is optimized for those that do not have any or few options for expansion, like a laptop or all-in-one desktop. You can install a controller card, like a USB 3.0, eSATA, SAS, even add a SSD M.2 drive. You can add a RAID controller card, WiFi or faster WiFi card. You can customize your computer to maximize your performance, or to upgrade to a newer and faster component.

question

can a modern GPU work for this, does it support enough watts?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Thunder3 PCIe Box can accommodate half-length card and provide 25W power through the PCIe slot. The main application is like 10G network, RAID controller, and video capture card. If the application is eGPU, please consider Akitio Node which embeds 400W power and has enough space to support almost all GPU cards.
