The white 11.6" 32GB Chromebook R 11 2-in-1 Notebook from Acer runs on the Google Chrome operating system, which relies on Internet connectivity for full access to its features. While it may be a cloud-based computing solution, it's still capable of the daily functions you need in a portable computer. Equipped with a 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron N3150 Quad-Core processor and 2GB of DDR3L RAM, the Chromebook R 11 enables you to efficiently multitask as well as quickly access frequently used files and programs. When you need more power, the CPU can reach a burst frequency of 2.08 GHz.
Its 11.6" IPS (In-Plane Switching) display, driven by integrated Intel HD graphics, has a 1366 x 768 resolution so you can enjoy crisp and clear HD content with vivid colors. Furthermore, with touchscreen capabilities you'll be able to utilize touch gestures and functions to enhance its efficiently and accessibility. An HDMI port will let you connect an external display to further increase its multitasking capabilities. Like all Chromebooks, the storage of the Chromebook 11 is limited, so it only has 32GB of eMMC storage. Should you run out of storage, you can connect external storage devices using its USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 Type-A ports as well as its SD card reader, which can also be used to quickly transfer files from mobile devices. Connect to the Internet via 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi. Other integrated features include speakers, a microphone, a webcam, and a 3.5mm audio in and out combo jack.
Please note that in order to take full advantage of Chrome OS, you will need to be connected to the Internet.
With a 360° hinge, the Acer Chromebook R 11 can rotate its display all the way back until it resembles a tablet. You can also use it as a stand-up display or in tent mode for comfortable viewing.
IPS (In-Plane Switching) panels provide you with wide viewing angles and vivid colors so you can enjoy bright and colorful content from almost any position.
Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
