Thermaltake PSTPG1500DPCTUS overview

  • 1Description

The Toughpower DPS G RGB 1500W 80 Plus Titanium Modular Power Supply from Thermaltake is a powerful and efficient modular ATX power supply designed with a single +12 V rail for stability and compatibility among current generation hardware. It's built with PFC (Power Factor Correction), and its modular design allows you to connect only the cables you need. Unused cables can be stored should you decide to upgrade your system down the road. With less cable clutter, there will be better airflow within the chassis for lower temperatures. A built-in 140mm fan operates silently while side vents allow for additional heat dissipation. Furthermore, the illuminated fan supports up to 256 colors for you to personalize your build.

The Toughpower DPS G RGB also features SPM (Smart Power Management), which allows the system to upload data and report issues in real time. By downloading the app and accessing its Cloud management system, you'll have access to multiple reports and control over system functions such as fan speed, color options, remote on/off, and more.

80 Plus Titanium certified with up to 94% efficiency
SPM (Smart Power Management) allows the system to upload data and warn you of fan failure, overheating, and under- or over-voltage in real time
View detailed efficiency/wattage user behavior reports, energy saving plans, ECO reports, and energy consumption reports
High-quality, durable chassis with side ventilation design
Concentrated compression fan blade and anti-vibration mounting system
256 color RGB fan for personalizing your build
Japanese brand capacitors for long-term reliability
Fully modular to reduce clutter and improve airflow
Smart Zero Fan turns on at around 30% of rated load to balance thermal performance and audible noise

    Thermaltake PSTPG1500DPCTUS reviews

Toughpower DPS G RGB 1500W 80 Plus Titanium Modular Power Supply is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ridiculously Noisy and can't reach 1500w Purchased this to replace the same brand's 1250w series thinking it could handle my Quad-SLI 1080 ti beast, only to find out it could barely make 1300W without resetting and sending the computer into constant global resets. The specs say clearly 1500w with 1800w peak ... couldn't even hit 1350w peak for me. As well, the fan is noisy as in 45dba noisy starting super early at around 850w. That's not even running 2 video cards with a full tilt processor. The Fan speed curve is just wrong. I later put back my 1250w psu only to find out it can sustain 1400 steady without the fan passing a quiet 1300RPM ... go figure. This unit is discontinued for a reason. The other models are very good. This specific unit is old technology that's been spec'd wrong or built wrong. Just my experience. Gets am extra star for looks, nice wires and connectors, packaging and the fact that it works well under 800w loads.
