question

The RX 100 II has a longer zoom, will this housing work with the built in zoom, and still use it to its longest zoom ?
Asked by: Thomas M.
The Sony Underwater Housing for RX100-Series Cameras is designed so you could use the full zoom range on all RX100 cameras. Keep in mind it is best to use the wide-angle part of the zoom underwater.

Download the manual(B&H prohibits links) for the Water Housing from esupport DOT sony DOT com and search for the term AG-R1 or AG-R2. This will show you the part you need to remove from the housing to make your camera fit.

The RX100VI has Under Water White Balance. I am worried the lens would extend into the end of the UW Housing and damage the camera. Perhaps lens length could be limited when UW W Bal is selected?

question

Does the front filter adapter permit the use of a rotating filter (CPL)? Or will any filter screwed into the thread be unmoveable?
Asked by: Sean
The lens port on the Sony Underwater Housing for RX100-Series Cameras has 67mm threads for attaching 67mm filters or conversion lenses. This is the same as attaching a filter to a camera lens. If you use a CPL filter with a rotating ring the housing will not prevent it from rotating.
