The EZ-1 30 to 90mm Cinema Lens Pack from Angenieux includes the PL mount version of of the 30 to 90mm EZ-1 zoom lens, with both the Super35 and FF/VistaVision rear lens-groups. The lens is fast, T2.0 in Super35 and T3.0 in full-frame/VistaVision. Swapping between the rear lens groups doesn't affect the physical length of the lens, minimum focus distance, or 3x zoom ratio. However, the full-frame rear lens group does change the lens from a 30 to 90mm zoom that covers Super35 to a 45 to 135mm zoom that covers the full-frame/VistaVision aperture.

If you buy this lens with out the FF rear element group can you purchase it in the future?
Yeah this is insanely stupid. I bought this lens with S35 rear lens group the expectation of upgrading. Now I have a FF camera, and no one will sell me the group. Instead the expectation is I'll spend 14k purchase a lens I already own to get an accessory.

Is there vignetting on Super35 sensors because of the 30mm image circle?
Vignetting is evident when the image circle (mm) is less than a camera sensor's diagonal (mm). The Angenieux EZ-1 will not vignette on a Super35 sensor because its image circle is larger than all Super35mm sensor cameras.

Can you use the full frame rear element on a Super35 (FS7) camera to get an equivalent longer focal length option?
Although I have not used this lens, that is what I would expect with the adage the lens is the lens. The rear group is an extender.

The Angenieux EZ-1 30 to 90mm Cinema Lens Pack (Super35 and Full-Frame) is not listed as having data capability.

Will this work with the metabones speed booster?
We usually do not recommend using this lens with a speed booster as it is already designed to compensate for the crop factor change between Super 35mm and Full Frame.
The lens can be configured as a 30mm-90mm Super 35mm lens or a 45mm-135mm Full Frame lens which will result in the same field of view for both configurations. (The field of view in Full Frame mode is 45.6°-15.9° and the filed of view in Super 35mm is 43.6-15.2°) Therefore it is more effective to use the lens in super 35mm mode then have it in Full Frame and use a Speed Booster if you plan on using it with Super35mm cameras.
If you plan to use it with a Micro 4/3 camera a speed booster we recommend swapping the PL mount for EF first.

Does this lens have filter threads, and if so what size?
The Angenieux EZ-1 30 to 90mm Cinema Lens Pack (Super35 and Full-Frame) has a 114mm front diameter but no filter threads, as it is meant to be used with a 114mm Matte-Box.
