EVGA 1050 Ti SC overview

  • 1Description

Featuring an overclocked core and based on NVIDIA's Pascal architecture, the EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC GAMING Graphics Card provides major improvements in performance, memory bandwidth, and power efficiency over its predecessor, the Maxwell architecture.

The front panel of the card features a variety of outputs. There are one DisplayPort 1.4 output, one HDMI 2.0b output, and one DVI-D Dual-Link output. The GTX 1050 Ti is not just about high-resolution gaming: Computationally intensive programs can utilize the GPU's 768 cores to accelerate tasks using CUDA or other APIs.

EVGA's single-fan ACX 2.0 Cooler quietly keeps the card's operating temperature in check. The fan is driven by a low-power motor and features swept blades and double ball bearings to increase efficiency.

With Ansel, gamers can compose the gameplay shots they want, pointing the camera in any direction and from any vantage point within a gaming world. They can capture screenshots at up to 32 times the screen resolution, and then zoom in where they choose without losing fidelity. With photo-filters, they can add effects in real-time before taking the shot. And they can capture 360-degree stereo photospheres for viewing in a VR headset or Google Cardboard.
With CUDA, NVIDIA allows applications to hand off CPU-intensive tasks to the GPU. Your GPU is no longer just used for rendering graphics, but it can provide teraflops of floating point performance and accelerate application tasks, from real-time video rendering to fluid dynamics simulation. CUDA is used in many applications and games.
G-SYNC Ready
When used with a monitor that has G-SYNC hardware installed, the monitor's refresh rate will sync and lock with the graphics card's output frame rate. Establishing this sync removes tearing and stuttering which can result from conventional fixed screen refresh rates, especially important for gaming in stereoscopic 3D. An additional benefit of G-SYNC is reduced lag so gamers will benefit from the improved command response time as well.
NVIDIA GPU Boost 3.0
Boosts the card's clock speed in real-time based on the target temperature. If the card is running below the set target temperature, GPU Boost 3.0 will increase the clock speed to improve performance. The target temperature can be reset depending on your preference so you can have the card run more quietly for everyday tasks and older games, and run at full tilt during intense high-resolution gaming sequences.

    EVGA 1050 Ti SC reviews

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC GAMING Graphics Card is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Of Good Value The EVGA GTX 1050 TI SC is a niche card for the hobbyist film maker, musician, and even gamer. The cards best resolution is 1080P and it can handle monitors with a 144 Hz refresh rate for quick response. My Cinebench15 results were 144 fps. The 768 Cuda cores make video editing fun. For the musician, this card has a silent fan that keeps it cool. The EVGA card beats the completion in exhausting the heat out the back of the computer case. The card is short so it does not block air flow from the bottom of the case to the upper portions of the motherboard, nor does it require an additional PCIe power cable. Finally a 1080P video card that draws less power than the CPU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice budget GPU Purchased this for a small budget rig that went into a very small form factor case. Great performance in the game titles it's used for, and thanks to EVGA's design it stays cool and pretty quiet. Even with just the single fan. This card also uses very little power, and draws what it needs straight from the pcie slot on the motherboard. No power cable needed which was a godsend in the case used. On the negative side this limits, or rather all but eliminates, overclocking this card. Then again, I had no intention of overclocking this GPU. Great value for either someone on a budget or has no need for more horsepower from their GPU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Card for a mid range pc! No complaints! My son's pc is nice! He only plays Garry's Mod, CS, Paladins, and Overwatch. I would recommend this card, it's small, doesn't require PCI power cables to run. You can pop this into any pc for a nice GPU upgrade!!! My only regret is, I didn't get the free game from NVidia because I didn't buy it from their retails sites. B&H shipped fast, and I will shop with them again! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing piece of equipment! Super easy to install! I'm not a gamer but I do a bit of 4k video work. This was super easy to pop in and get running. Best price on the net! Great job B&H!!! I will be a return shopper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for photos. Installed as an upgrade to a Dell XPS. Needed to have additional memory on the graphics card to meet recommendations by Lightroom. Use for photography, works great. Had to update the Dell BIOS to get the computer to work with the graphics card. New card the same length as the old card. I don't use the computer to play games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade! What's not to like? Smaller, more efficient (no more power connections to card - it just uses the card bus without any additional connections), more powerful than the card it replaced in my system. And reasonably priced! Video quality and performance improved. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Graphics card for budget gamers or first timers. If you are on a budget or a just dipping your toe into the PC gaming market, then this card is not a bad choice. This card doesn't need a secondary power connector and is not a big power draw, so if you are upgrading, you can probably use it with you current PSU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Budget Card As we know, due to cryptocurrency miners, GPUs have skyrocketed in price. With that in mind, this card is a great value for the price. It's very quiet, small, and of course doesn't draw much power. I don't have many modern games on my computer, but I can tell you that I can max out GTA V graphics at 1080p on this card with my i5 8600k no problem. Even then the card remains pretty quiet. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. This GPU won't be maxing out Far Cry 5 or anything like that, but it's a solid card for the price.
