MixMic Shotgun Microphone with Integrated 2-Channel Audio Adapter is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap electronics, cheap sound, not reliable I bought this mic to get "ok" sound off my a6300 when I am shooting in a two camera setup just to sync sound. I usually hire a sound engineer to get good quality audio as I value this job and I don't think I can get the job done by myself. Here is my experience with it : The shotgun turn on and you get audio in the camera at first. I was not surprised by the audio quality because it sounds a little bit like the interior of a tin can, but it was getting something that I could work with. The problem appeared in the 15 to 20 next minutes when I was shooting. The sound just dropped. I had no signal. I flipped the phantom power on and off thinking the switch was loose, but it had no effect. I changed the XLR cable, but I was still getting nothing. I plugged the mic in the Zoom H6 recorder I had in my bag and it worked with both XLR cables. I changed the 9V battery in the Saramonic MixMic for a new one that I just bought and I still had nothing. This scenario happened three more times when I was at home trying to figure out what went wrong. I always get 15 minutes of sound and then... nothing. I contacted Saramonic to get it fixed but they told me I would have to pay to send it to them and that they would send me an invoice to get it shipped back to me. This is unacceptable, the overall shipping would cost a third of the price of the unit. I would never recommend this product.
