Does this remote work if the camera is set up for back button focus?
Asked by: Karen
Yes. This remote will trigger the camera when the camera is set to Back-Button Focus. Though if the camera is not setup to activate the Auto-Focus from the shutter button, this remote will solely trigger the shutter.

question

does this work with other Olympus 4/3rds cameras ?
Asked by: Ruth
This is a new cable release and won't work with the original OMD EM1. That needs the UC1 variety that uses the micro USB port. Can't speak for any other Oli cameras.

question

Is there any possibility this will be compatible with Panasonic M43 cameras. or that the DMW-RSL1 Remote Shutter Release would be compatible with the OM-D E-M1 Mark II? Is that REALLY to much to hope for? ;-)
Asked by: Dave
I have tried a shutter release cable that Worked on my LUMIX FZ150, and although the pin size fits, the OM-D E-M1 II does not respond to the button. So I think the answer to your question probably is, conversely, no.
