Capture the beauty of the world beneath the surface at depths as great as 200' with the DC2000 Digital Underwater Camera from SeaLife. The DC2000's fast f/1.8 lens helps you achieve effective low-light shots with shallow depth of field. In addition to JPEG images, the camera can capture RAW photos to give you much more image data to work with in the editing process. As an extra bonus, the picture-in-video feature allows you to capture still images while recording Full HD movies. Available exposure modes on the camera include Programmed Auto (P), Shutter Priority (S), Aperture Priority (A), and Manual (M), as well as 4 underwater scene modes with built-in color correction and 25 land scene modes. Additionally, the DC2000 is capable of continuous burst shooting at 8 fps to help you catch fast action, as well as time-lapse shooting to show change over a given period of time. Enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless image transfer.

the description says it only accepts 64gb cards. Why canit I put my 128gb cards in it? Do I really need to get a new card for this camera?
Asked by: Daniel
I use a 16GB card in it, and I've never come close to filling it. Do you really need to swap your cards around various cameras? Do yourself a favor and dedicate a 64GB to this camera, and keep it empty between dive vacations. When you're spending this much for a camera, a dedicated SD card for it is pretty trivial. I would take the warnings seriously about potential camera lock-up issues. I went through a phase of lockup issues with early firmware. Fortunately a firmware update fixed that for me. Spring for an extra battery and charger, too. You don't want to miss out on a dive because the battery is empty. The in-camera USB battery charging is pretty slow.

If I turn off the DC2000 pre-flash, can the main flash be used to wirelessly trigger my vintage NIKON SB-105 flashes set in 'slave' manual mode? Jacques Girouard
Asked by: Jacques
The SeaLife DC2000 Digital Underwater Camera's flash does not fire a pre-flash when in Underwater scene mode w/ flash. There is also no pre-flash when shooting in manual mode with force flash. When shooting in these modes you could trigger a Nikonos SB-105 strobe in slave mode.

Is the housing permanently sealed or does it need maintenance? How does it compare to a Sony RX100?
Asked by: Jeffrey
The SeaLife DC2000 Digital Underwater Camera includes a camera and housing. Just like any underwater housing you need to keep the o-rings clean and greased. To compare underwater camera gear please email us at [email protected]

question

What is the autofocus delay? How long from button push to exposure? Earlier Sealife cameras had a 3+second delay.
Asked by: David H.
The focus time or shutter response (aka shutter lag) is 1/10 second. This is not shutter speed, it is the time to focus and take the image from pushing the shutter button.
