Protect your camera and mounted lens from rain, dust and mud with the SSRC Small Sport Shield Rain Cover from AquaTech. This cover is suitable for select small cameras with lens lengths up to 180mm including hood. The neoprene front panel in combination with a lens hood creates a waterproof seal. A silicone-sealed rear window provides a good view of the LCD and nearby controls. The cover requires a sold-separately, AquaTech eyepiece to insure a tight seal around the viewfinder. When not in use, the eyepiece may be stored inside a dedicated storage pocket. The back of the cover has a collapsible hood for improved viewing under harsh light, and a touch-fastening flap for added protection when not shooting.

The cover features YKK waterproof zipper and drawstring closure. Simply slide a hand into the sleeve to access the lens, functions, and numerous controls. Included with the cover is a handy, mesh, carry pouch. For strength, durability and weather protection, the cover is constructed of three-ply, ripstop waterproof breathable fabric with a durable, water-repellent coating.

Note: Requires an eyepiece to hold cover to camera and maintain waterproofing.

SSRC Small Sport Shield Rain Cover (Gray) is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Purchase with caution The rain cover itself is fine, however the required eyepiece is poorly designed. Despite being easy to install, the major issue with this eyepiece is that it doesn't click into place, and with a slight amount of upward force, comes off. When paired with the Aquatech Sports Shield Rain Cover (its intended purpose), the upward force naturally applied by the cover causes the eyepiece to work its way off, rendering the rain cover itself unusable. One solution would be to superglue the eyepiece to the camera....something I am NOT comfortable doing. I have also not been able to find the 'eyepiece storage pocket', unless its the pocket on the exterior of the cover, which doesn't have any form of enclosing the spare eyepiece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality, excellent performance! I shoot sports in all kinds of weather. Been using Aquatech rain shields for years on just about every Nikon lens and camera body combination you can imagine. My gear has stayed dry in the worst weather! They are easy to take on and off. I like the current generation improvements and am up-grading now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design Well made, good materials. The eyepiece adapter required to use the rain cover is not easy to install. On a D810 you will need a tool to remove it. D810 requires the viewfinder window (small button at the side of the viewfinder) to be locked to remove the eyepice. The shield eyepiece blocks this tiny button when installed so you do need a thin and long stick to unlock the viewfinder window (imposible to do with fingers). It is difficult in the studio, will be more complicated in the field under harsh conditions. The front lens get unprotected, rain can reach the front lens and filter water inside the lens. There are some fabric rings to put a strap in the upper part of the rain cover. It is dangerously useless. Your camera and lens will be supported by the hood and the viewfinder ring so you can easily damage both, your hood and your viewfinder. I bought an extra eyepiece for backup camera (D610). It did not fit. Shield come with a round hole (good for D810) but D610 eyepiece is rectangular and bigger. If a cut the hole to fit D610 it will not fit D810 because the hole will be big and water will filter inside the rain cover. My Ziploc bag adapted protects better and cost a lot less. Or just wrap a plactic bag with secured with ape. Save some money.
