Once configured, this 1 RU rack-mountable 8-port IP-based KVM switch supports video resolutions up to 1280 x 1024, and works with Windows, Mac, Sun Solaris, and Linux-based operating systems. Additionally, this switch supports hot-pluggable connectivity, eliminating the need to power down the switch when adding or removing computers from the system. The easy-to-use interface features push button functionality along with a browser-based GUI for easy control of connected computers. Network security has also been addressed, as IOGEAR has implemented SSL 128-bit data encryption and RSA 1024-bit certificates to help avoid unauthorized users from gaining access to connected computers.
