Get a better grasp on the fish habitat below the water's surface with the Helix 7 CHIRP GPS G2N Fishfinder from Humminbird. The 7" LED-backlit display has a built-in GPS receiver to accurately track your position and mark productive fishing spots, and supports five-port Ethernet networking with other heads or transducers. CHIRP 2D sonar provides an accurate reading of the structure below, and you can use AutoChart Live to make your own maps of your favorite waters, including aquatic vegetation and bottom hardness.
The Helix comes equipped with options for fine-tuning your view of the underwater world. SwitchFire technology allows you to choose clear or max mode to filter out noise or show more detail using an advanced algorithm to filter out interference. DualBeam Plus lets you choose either a wide coverage area, or a narrower sonar cone for more detail. This system has a RMS power output of 500W, and a peak to peak output of 4000W, which allows the unit to provide an accurate representation of the bottom down to 1500'. The transom-mounted transducer features coverage angles of 20° and 60° @ -10db so that you can adjust the coverage to suit depth and angling conditions for the best returns.
Built-in UniMap cartography covers the contiguous US coastline, inland lakes and rivers at 30 meters per pixel resolution. Load optional cartography using the micro SD card slot for access to higher resolution maps of waterways across North America.
This unit also supports a high level of connectivity. Monitor engine data using NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 marine networks. Built-in Bluetooth lets you sync your smartphone and other devices, delivering text messages, missed calls, signal strength, and battery life right on the Humminbird display. Dual card slots allow you to access existing data and store your own. Using the optional Ethernet adapter you can add up to five additional devices including IP cameras, and share data with other devices. Adding the I-Pilot Link will let you control select Minn Kota trolling motors. You can also add Automatic Identification System (AIS) technology that allows you to see, and be seen, by other vessels equipped with the same technology.
