Glyph Technologies RAID External SSD Overview

The black Atom RAID 2TB USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 External SSD from Glyph Technologies provides two 1TB SSDs that quickly provide a total capacity of 2TB for your Mac and Windows systems. The SSDs feature a slim M.2 form factor and are configured in a RAID 0 array that enhances the delivery of data up to 950 MB/s. To support the increased performance, Glyph has outfitted the Atom RAID with a USB-C 3.1 port that transfers data at speeds up to 10 Gb/s and sports a small and reversible design.

The Atom RAID is preformatted for HFS+ with Journaling and compatible with Time Machine, letting it work right out of the box with a Mac. Reformatting is required for use with a Windows system. With a lightweight and rugged design, the Atom RAID is well-suited for the rigors of daily travel. For compatibility with a wide range of USB products, Glyph includes a cable for directly connecting the Atom RAID to USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 systems along with a second cable that creates a connection with computers having a standard USB-A port.

Will this work with a Blackmagic Design PCC 6K camcorder? I don’t know if its RAID 0 nature prohibits its being recognized by the camera.
Asked by: Martin
It was a yes or no question. Your answers seems to imply yes, but talks about a mirrored volume. Does that mean that the camera would only see 2tb of the 4tb? That would negate the value of using the Glyph unit vs non-RAID 0 2tb units like the Sabrent 2TB nvme ssd unit. Why doesn’t someone in video walk over to the computer area with a bmpcc and actually try either or both of the units with the camera?

Will this work with IOS Ipad?
Asked by: timothy
This will work via direct connection to an iPad with a USB Type-C connector. If the iPad only has the Lightning connector, you may need the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, or Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader (all sold separately).
