  • 1Description

Comfortably carry your mirrorless or other small camera with an attached lens with the light blue Spiderlight Hand Strap from Spider Holster. The strap is constructed from sturdy, flexible, nylon-based material, and padded with foam covered with soft, breathable fabric. Included with the camera are smart adapters designed for use with leading mirrorless and other cameras. Simply attach the strap to a strap lug and camera tripod mount. The one-size-fits-all hand strap is shaped for comfortable shooting and works with tripods.

For improved comfort and security, the hand strap helps adapt an adult size hand to smaller, mirrorless camera bodies.
Flexible materials and an ergonomically curved shape increase comfort and help reduce fatigue.
Universal bottom tripod socket connection, and low, thin profile seamlessly works with tripods and quick-release plates.
Once attached, the hand strap may be quickly and easily adjusted to accommodate different hand sizes.

    Spider Camera Holster 993 reviews

Spiderlight Hand Strap (Light Blue) is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea needs improvement Pros - It's the first hand strap I've found that works on my Sony A72. Mostly well made. Overall the strap seems to be durable and secure. The snaps on the top of the strap work better than i expected. Cons - The strap is very stiff which means it does not fold down to fit in your camera bag. Also it's a little difficult to reach some buttons on the camera and hard to get the battery door open. I've had problems keeping a tripod plate mounted securely. There is some sticky material on strap where the tripod plate goes but this hasn't worked and it has come off the strap now after two months. I need to retightened the tripod plate often. I hope Spider will address these problems and develop a better version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best handstrap I've found I am using this strap on my Sony A7RM2 with Zeiss 16-35mm and I love it. I have always liked carrying my camera in my hand and have tried cheap straps, wrapping a normal strap around my hand, etc. This strap has a rigid form so you can put your hand into it easily. The shape of the strap also fits your hand in a way that gives you natural movement to work the controls. I can almost completely relax my hand and the camera feels well supported. You may find a spot that is not easy to get on your camera but I don't think any strap could ever give you total freedom. I also use the Spider Holster in combination which gives me the best of both worlds - hands free when I want and handling when I need it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wasted my money This hand strap is stiff, uncomfortable and prevents access to the battery compartment on my Olympus OM-D E-M5II. I like the idea of using a hand strap together with my Spiderlight camera holster, but this product is not well designed. With this hand strap attached, I have to remove the Spider plate to have access to the camera battery. Moreover, the manner in which the strap adapter attaches to my camera lug (where a shoulder strap would ordinarily attach) is poorly made. It attaches with a small screw which appears to me might dislodge or break with wear. Sorry to say this is not worth half the $40 price tag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Compatible with Olympus OM-D EM1 Mk II Answering my question about installation, Spider Holster replied: "The SpiderLight Hand Strap will not work properly on the EM 1 Mkii because the tripod socket on that model camera is located so close to the front edge of the camera body. The camera will not provide sufficient surface area to support the bottom connection of the strap." Product was returned to B&H. B&H should note this product incompatibility in their description.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Confusing I own the Sony a7 III. The instruction manual has instructions for placement of the a7i and a7 ii. The a7iii is pretty close to the a7ii in dimensions - so I used the "B" bracket as suggested in manual. When installing this, the now larger memory card door on the a7iii WILL NOT OPEN without forcing open. The "A" bracket which is labeled as Olympus and Panasonic i believe works without door infringement, however it feels like the top strap attachment is loose and makes me second guess if this will fall over time and have a 3,000 "oops" for coming loose. Side note - their spider lite holster is awesome - just wish they had updated paperwork, directions, brackets, and website for the Sony a9 and Sony a7iii camps. I'm waiting for a response for their customer service department and will update on their feedback.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice hand strap, but unfortunately didnt fit! The strap is well made, and I really wanted it to work, but unfortunately it didnt fit my hand no matter how I adjusted it. I attached it to my Fuji X100F camera, and it just didnt work for me and my hand.  There are various ways you can adjust the strap, and I tried them all. With so many shapes and sizes of small mirrorless/small DSLRs out there, I just dont see how one size (even adjustable) can fit all cameras and hands.  If it wound up fitting me I would have given it 5 stars. If youre in the market for a hand strap, try it.  If it doesnt work for you, you can always return it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but I'm returning Am I the only Sony photographer who uses a card reader to transfer data? I agree with a previous poster about access to the battery compartment--getting the battery in and out is inconvenient. But that pales beside the challenges of removing a memory card--you have to remove the adapter, which is totally impractical, because it's hard to screw the screw in. (Are they sure that's the right Allen wrench size? It seems to slip.) I REALLY wish this wasn't a problem, because I like it otherwise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it! BUT it needs a design tweek It feels secure, comfortable and well built. I do recommend this product as a must-have for getting your camera in and out of your bag fast without having to fumble or make any adjustments to your grip to get the shot. The one PROBLEM is the excess part of the strap that protrudes from the bottom of the camera after you install it. This gets caught on the border of the bag when you put the camera back into your bag. For street photography, it is a bit of a hassle. I have a Tenba messenger bag (almost perfect bag) and while this strap allowed me to get the camera out and ready for a shot with complete control in less than a second, putting it back is not as fast because of this design issue. See the pics.
