Short and sweet

They work great for a mic on a camera or a sound recorder. I have used these on both. The only issue, and it is minor, is the cord is so thin that the cord holder on the mic is too large. It also locks in very securely. Wish I bought this years ago.

Bought 3 cables (red, white, blue) for my Sound Devices MixPre-3. Needed these since the bag was tight. Perfect so far!

Haven't used it yet so I'll hold 1 star until I can test audio quality.

Using this cable on my FS7ii with Sennheiser ME64/K6. Makes for a much tidier rig, less bulk than a standard cable.

Worth the space saving and weight.

I can build my own cables but this was worth the weight and time for my mixer.

Excellent Quality but Expensive

This is a great niche item. I paid for this instead of a cheaper solution because there is nothing really in the market that compares to this. Audio quality is amazing and build quality is top notch. The only con its just expensive but that's what you pay for a specialty piece.

Does exactly what it says on the box. Great cable.

Are these compatible with the FS7? I.e. Does the male end rotate to a position where it can access the camera's awkwardly placed XLRs?

While we have not tested this configuration specifically, there is a good chance that the Cable Techniques Low-Profile, 3-Pin XLR Female to 3-Pin XLR Male Adjustable-Angle Cable can be adjusted to fit into the build of the Sony FS7 camera's XLR audio inputs, given its ability to adjust the cable outlet from 30 to 150°.

These low-profile type cables from Cable Techniques currently only come in short sizes, because they are designed to connect to field recorders and mixers and take up less space in bags. We do sell the connectors, and bulk XLR cable, if you would like to make your own longer cables.
