Perfect size for on camera or end of boom pole. I use it with a Sanken Cs-M1 on the end of boom pole. It's great for this.

Absolutely Perfect! for cameras with XLR audio inputs

So glad I got this after I kept putting it off, with thoughts of another cable with my same drawbacks. Yes, my Canon XA50 camcorder with audio XLR inputs in handle is perfect now! My previous 40cm XLR high quality cable was as good as it got, the connection out of my shotgun mic extended near the top handle and the cable had to twist around to do a right angle into the handle input. It was clunky and got in the way with certain movements. It wasn’t terrible, yet after using this new coiled lightweight cable with low profile connections it basically as if I just have a shotgun mic and no cable at all. Allowing me a huge amount of confidence to move my camera without anything getting in the way. No perceivable sound quality issues with the thinner cable. If you have any camcorder/camera with XLR inputs built in I cannot recommend these high enough. I’m not a cablephile I am a pragmatist when it comes to function, I’ll pay extra for that cable that works.

Solid Cable. Reliable all around.

Used this on a few jobs and it's been great for an on-camera mic, on my c500 mkII. It's a solid build, both ends connect and disconnect well. Sound is flawless. The coil is a little bit tight/stretched when connecting it to the rear XLR inputs on the c500 (with the Canon handle and mic mount). But it still leaves plenty of stretch and doesn't stress the cable.

Perfect length for on-camera mic

Bought for my Sony FS7 and on-camera mic. There's a lot of stuff that can go on a camera and cables always get in the way. Previous to this I had a cable that (even though very short) was always getting in the way. The length, along with the coiled design makes it absolutely spot-on for my needs. If you have any sort of camcorder/pro camera that requires an XLR cable, get this one - you will love it!

These work great. Stupid me, I mistaken it to be feet instead of inches, but still made good use of them. The low profile design is probably one of the best I've used. I will definitely be buying more or other cables.

Did not like them

When I connected it to my video camera and shotgun mike I had to switch the connection of the male 3 pin (Which allows you to do with this cable). I heard a distinct scratching, popping noise. I stopped using the cable.

Can these cables handle 48v phantom power? I want this cables because of their low profile look, and use them into a regular home studio setup (Podcasting, and vocals recording), but I dont know if there's a con with that, might over heating.
Asked by: Lobsang
This cable handles Phantom power 48v, I've used them in the past to provide a shotgun mic with 48v from a camcorder and had no issues.
