Apogee Electronics SYM2-TB-CARD Reviews
In theory it should work great
When I bought this for my Dante PT HD MKII, Pro Tools was going through some serious growing pains with HDX systems on Big Sur. In other words it barely worked, So I got this thinking I could still run my 7.1.4 monitoring setup just over Thunderbolt. Well first I tried to install the firmware upgrade and since I have the Dante Card ( that almost no one else bought cause Apogee never released management software as promised ) it ended up locking up the device and I had to drive to Santa Monica to Apogee HQ and have them specially install the upgrade. Got the unit home only to discover that I have to run the uninstall then re install EVERY time wanted to use it as an IO cause that's the only way it will show up. And Apogee support said yeah we know... So yeah when it works it's really great, but getting it to work is a pain. A huge let down for a box that now costs over 6 grand.
