Supporting a total takeoff weight of 34 pounds, the Matrice 600 Pro (M600 Pro) is a hexacopter from DJI designed for professional video and industrial imaging applications. Updated from the original Matrice 600, it features improved flight performance and a higher loading capacity. Preinstalled arms and antennas reduce the time required for setup, and the system's modular design makes it easy to mount additional modules.

The Matrice 600 Pro centers around DJI's advanced A3 Pro flight control controller with triple redundancy. It incorporates the Lightbridge 2 system for HD resolution, low-latency monitoring via SDI, HDMI, and USB outputs on the controller. For camera support, the Matrice 600 works with Zenmuse Z15 series gimbals, the Ronin-MX gimbal, and Zenmuse X Series gimbal/camera hybrids.

This version of Matrice 600 Pro comes almost-ready-to-fly (ATF) and includes a controller (transmitter), flight batteries, six-bay charger, flight controller, and sundries. It also features a durable, customizable case that absorbs impact from shakes or falls, providing all-round protection for your hexacopter when carried or transported. Additional hardware needed may include a gimbal, camera, as well as any flight controller add-ons. Some assembly is required.

Intelligent Drive System
The Matrice 600 Pro uses sine-wave-driven, intelligent ESCs to ensure it performs accurately, safely, and efficiently, while the A3 Pro flight controller's self-adaptive systems adjust flight parameters automatically based on different payloads.
Air System Design
Updated from the Matrice 600, the Matrice 600 Pro is designed to be simple to set up and ready to fly in a matter of minutes. Its airframe has been optimized for easier transportation with a quick release landing gear design and folding frame arms. Under the new upper cover, the positions of GNSS modules and sensors have been revamped, and a new dampening system for the IMU units increases reliability during flight.
Modular Design
The modular design makes the Matrice 600 Pro easy to set up and ready to use.
Gimbal Compatibility
All Zenmuse cameras and gimbals are natively compatible, and a maximum payload of 13.2 lb allows it to fly the Ronin-MX gimbal and a range of cameras, from Micro Four Thirds systems to the RED EPIC.
Built to Last
A dust-proof propulsion system simplifies maintenance, while actively cooled motors make for reliable operation for extended periods of time.
A3 Pro Flight Controller
The A3 Pro system is optimized for professional and cinematography applications, providing navigation and stabilization to the aircraft. The system features GNSS, which means it can use satellite systems, such as GPS or GLONASS, in combination with a compass to provide precise positional data. The A3 Pro can be used in combination with DJI's Lightbridge 2 system to provide a high-quality video downlink from a gimbal-mounted camera. Ground station software enables features, such as telemetry monitoring and route planning, and provides a flight simulator.

The system features three IMUs and three GNSS units, with additional analytical redundancies for a total of six redundancies. Working together with advanced diagnostic algorithms, if the A3 Pro detects GNSS or IMU unit failure during flight, it seamlessly switches to another unit to maintain reliability and precision.
DJI GO App for iOS and Android
The Matrice 600 Pro supports the DJI GO app as well as the DJI Assistant 2. Get a live HD view, battery status, redundancy status, transmission strength, and much more straight from the DJI GO app. DJI GO is also the control center for the camera, giving access to shutter speed, ISO, and photo or video capture on any Zenmuse X Series camera as well as remote focus and aperture on the Zenmuse X5 and X5R cameras. The DJI Assistant 2 supports firmware updates and the new Ground Station, and it comes with a built-in flight simulator.
Extended Range
The Matrice 600 Pro's radio range extents to 3.1 miles with a clean signal.
D-RTK GNSS Upgrade
The A3 GNSS system can be upgraded with separately available Real-Time Kinematic technology (RTK) for even greater navigational accuracy. Using dual antennas, RTK provides greater precision than a compass and is not susceptible to magnetic interference from metal structures.
Lightbridge 2
Professional HD Transmission
DJI Lightbridge 2 has been designed from the ground up to meet the requirements of professional broadcasting, offering high frame rates and HD live streaming. USB, mini-HDMI, and 3G-SDI ports on the controller support video output at up to 1080p/60 fps or a broadcast standard output of 720p/59.94 fps and 1080i/50 fps.
The Matrice 600 Pro's is fully compatible with the DJI Onboard SDK and Mobile SDK to meet the requirements of those building software for industrial applications. It has a dual parallel CAN and API ports for connecting DJI devices, including the Guidance sensor system, the RTK GNSS units, or third party components of your choice.
Batteries and Power
Intelligent Battery System
The battery management system monitors every battery during flight, ensuring safe landing in the event of single-battery failure. Compared to traditional non-intelligent batteries, the Matrice 600 Pro's battery management system simplifies maintenance while enhancing security.
6-Bay Charger
The Matrice 600 Pro charger has six charging hubs, enabling it to charge six Intelligent Batteries simultaneously. It charges a TB47S battery in about 92 minutes and a TB48S battery in about 110 minutes.

DJI Matrice 600 Pro Reviews

High quality customizable large scale drone

I am happy with my unit, but as there have been variable reports about this model, I will attempt to clarify for anyone else who would like to purchase. Note this applies to the current model DJI Matrice 600 Pro. The original (non-pro) named unit had many issues, they are discontinued but that is definitely where a lot of the criticisms arise. My unit is shown in the picture - note that I added the upper and lower LED beacons (Abrams brand - the same type used on police cars) and powered with a separate and very lightweight 12vdc LiPo battery so as not to affect the drone's existing electrical system. My unit has the DJI X3 zoom camera with Polar Pro polarizing filter and a FLIR unit that was repurposed from an emergency vehicle (spec 30hz 320 resolution) with custom made carbon fibre mounting bracket- The FLIR is powered by the same separate 12vdc battery that powers the LED beacons. The FLIR video is transmitted via the drone's built in 'Lightbridge' system which has two inputs for non-DJI cameras (HDMI and SD composite). Quality - the build quality is excellent. Flight time - due to my efforts to reduce take-off weight, I get flight times of roughly 31 minutes and 41 minutes depending on which model of battery I use (there are two types, one has a slightly larger capacity). The unit comes new with the smaller battery set - the unit takes six batteries, so every time I buy another set it is around $1200 and I have three sets (two of the high capacity and one of the low) Flight - the flight computer / flight characteristics function very similar, if not exactly the same as a DJI Inspire 1 v 2.0 (which I also have and compared with). This means that the precision is the same, the drone will almost always maintain position within a 1 to 2 meter box when in 'P' mode, EXCEPT at low altitudes 20' AGL where it can fluctuate largely and the pilot ,must keep a sharp eye on it at all times. NOTE - the precision on a new DJI Mavic 2 Pro (which I also have) is much higher, but this unit is also much much newer so you can't really compare them fairly. Options - I have the X3 zoom camera (I HIGHLY recommended buying one of the two DJI zoom cameras that are available with this unit - you have so much more capability for inspection, surveillance, whatever. I could not afford the X7 which has much higher optical zoom, but at least buy the X3. I also have a drop/release mechanism for carrying and deploying payloads, as well as the aforementioned LED beacons which are very helpful as well as satisfying any FAA night requirements. I also use the Epson Moverio? AR glasses (HDMI input version) when flying (you can see through them while monitoring the drone feed and flight instruments just like an aircraft HUD (heads up display). You will need an HDMI mini? to HDMI full adaptor cable to connect to the DJI remote. Issues - be sure to calibrate the compass and IMU from time to time (or at least make sure they are in the green). It does not need to be done before every flight. I've only done it three times ever. I only had one issue with my unit, when attempting to take off, the unit started wobbling (for lack of a better word) and I quickly shut down the props, but not before it tipped over breaking two propellors...cost was $60 to repair on my own. The cause was never determined...wind gust, compass misaligned, I'm not sure. It worked perfectly before and after, so maybe an anomaly. There is third party firmware available for further customization if you have confidence in your skill set. There is also a precision GPS/GLONASS system available 'RTK buy it is a few thousand dollars add on. Overall, the only thing better in the consumer drone world, i.e. less than $15,000 is the new DJI Matrice 210 (but that is a bit smaller with a bit less carrying capacity. Would I buy this unit again? Yes.

UGH!!! What the heck? Received the drone - loved the sleek changes and enhancements from the Matrice 600. Flies well. But, we could not get our x5 camera to work. After many hours on the phone with DJI, learned that the problems was with the drone (not the cameras). Brought it to a drone repair place and they suggested either returning or sending it to the dreaded DJI repair team in CA. So, we don't have a drone we can use ... and we need it for our business.

M600 Pro is the way to go!

LOVE that the M600 Pro comes practically fully assembled. Just needed to attached the landing gear legs and then done (which was not the case with the Matrice 600) ... and it's easier to transport (with the removable landing gear). Flies like a dream and can carry payloads of cameras and sensors. The sleek look is imposing and creates a bit of a sensation, wherever we are.
