My phone is 12.2m thick WITH my case. So as long as you don't exceed the thickness of the grip edges (which is about 14mm) you should be able to use a case. Otherwise remove the case to use this item.

In a word, no. The the mount only works on tripods with a standard 1/4” screw mount. It will support any size smartphone.

You should be able to use it with a case that is not too bulky, it will depend on your phone and which specific case you are using. Something like an otterbox might not work for example.

The Square Jellyfish Jelly Grip Tripod Mount for Smartphones BH #SQJLYGRTM15 can mount to any standard 1/4"-20 tripod mount. The joint ball is not meant to be user replaceable and the manufacturer does not specify the size of the ball so we would not guarantee it.
