What's the interior dimensions of the 1400 case with the Trekpak wall installed?
Asked by: Matt
The interior of the Pelican 1400 with TrekPak walls installed are exactly 11" (27.94cm) long, 8" (20.32cm) wide, and 3.5" (8.89cm) deep without compressing the foam. I hope this helps!

What's the interior dimensions of the 1400 case with the Trekpak wall installed? What's the thickness of the dividers?
Asked by: Matt
10.9x8" is a good estimate. Unfortunately, all of mine are in the field now, so I cannot confirm. Panel thickness of 7/16" sounds right. The interior of the case has a slight taper, but the Trekpack system must be square, so the available space may be slightly smaller, depending on how the measurements are made - it can't be larger than the minimum taper at the bottom of the case. The padding is very dense, so don't count on compressing it to fit items on the outside panels. The core is corrugated plastic, so the interior dividers can be bent a bit. The bottom pad is a lower density foam, about 3/4" IIRC, more in keeping with the traditional inserts, and more compressible. The top (lid) pad is the same as the regular one. So the usable interior height is ~4.5". Note that the dividers are not infinitely adjustable, they can only be put in ~1/4 increments due to the way they are 'pegged' into the corrugated plastic.

question

is this the same type foam as in the B&H # PE1400FB?
Asked by: Patricia S.
It's different foam. This model is already cut out and shaped for you. The foam in the PE1400FB is pull and pluck foam. So you would cut it and size it yourself. They are different.
