With a USB 3.1 Gen-2 interface, the Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini USB 3.1 Gen-2 Storage Enclosure from OWC / Other World Computing is capable of supporting data transfer rates of up to 738 MB/s making it easy to transfer even large files quickly and efficiently. In addition to enhanced data transfer rates, this external hard drive supports both RAID 0 and RAID 1 configuration modes allowing you to configure the two internal drives for speed or redundancy. Both drives reside inside a rugged aluminum chassis with a fanless design to keep them cool and protected even when on the go.

RAID for Redundancy, RAID for Performance
The Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini features user selectable modes RAID 0 and RAID 1. Choose the configuration that suits your needs. In RAID 0, experience data transfer speeds up to 738 MB/s. Or select RAID 1 for greater data redundancy from mirrored disks.
Intuitive Design
A rugged aluminum chassis designed for near-silent, fanless cooling keeps your drives properly cooled and protected everywhere you go. The slimline, side-by-side configuration means the Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini fits easily in your laptop or gear bag. And because it's fully bus-powered, the Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini is the perfect solution for your portable creative workflow.

Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini USB 3.1 Gen-2 Storage Enclosure is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a mixed pair of drives I bought this enclosure to house two drives on a small shelf on the back of my iMac's stand. Right now it holds one SSD for working files, and a spinning drive for a nightly clone of the internal disk. It works perfectly with these mixed drives set to individual mode (no RAID). May repurpose this unit down the road with striped SSDs. Individual indicator/activity LEDs for each drive are very bright (fyi). I have a few of the single bay version of these enclosures for various uses and love them. This one is just as reliable, solidly built, and easy to swap drives as the smaller ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great DIY storage option if you don't have Thunderbolt 3 Great little unit if you have a bare SSD and want to make an external hard drive. If you want a fast connection but don't have Thunderbolt3, this is probably your best bet.
