Nikon P900 reviews

COOLPIX P900 Digital Camera (Refurbished) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from COOLPIX P900 Digital Camera (Refurbished) A great deal. I am mostly a rank amateur. Saw a review of this camera that demonstrated several features. The price was great at B&H so I bought it. Mostly I have been amazed by the zoom and it will be useful when the deer show up in the back yard or I go out with a birder friend to Hawk Mountain in Pennsylvania. So many features that I have to slow down and explore each one. The camera is easy to use and provides sharp clear images. The fold out screen is awesome. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty awesome zoom! Great for wildlife pictures - the 183x zoom allows you to get close-up pictures of birds etc without needing to be close up to them. Heck, I even took a picture of the moon, and it was pretty close up. It's not easy to keep the camera still enough for really high-zoom pictures so a tripod is a good idea. The camera is a lot of fun, and the zoom is phenomenal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice camera system I bought this camera after reading dozens of reviews and I can honestly say it has lived up to my expectations. I was hesitant to get a camera with a fixed lens, especially with the power of this one since I was afraid it wouldn't perform under challenging circumstances. It has proven to be excellent at both macro and extreme telephoto. Others can go into the technicalities but, for the money, I don't think you can get a better system for everyday photography. It's also much lighter than a separate body with a large telephoto lens attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with camera! I've only had this camera for a few days, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Even at full zoom, I'm able to get decent hand-held pictures. The image stabilization is very good, and it's comfortable to hold. Several months ago I purchased a Canon Powershot SX60 HS and have been completely disappointed with the image quality and learning curve of that one. That being said, I've always owned Nikon cameras, so the P900's controls are familiar to me. A person used to Canon cameras would probably have no problems with its features. So far I haven't used a tripod since the images have been fine without. I've only done a short test of the video, and the results were sharp and sound was good. Although one of the drawbacks of this camera is the lack of raw images, since images can still be opened in camera raw I haven't found this to be a problem. Opening the P900's images in camera raw has allowed me to bring back some washed-out highlights that I didn't expect to recover. This refurbished camera arrived in new condition with only the protective battery cap missing. So far it's performed flawlessly. The online manual is helpful and well-written. I purchased the protective Nikon clear filter for this, as well as a spare battery and a Nikon MH-67P battery charger since I don't like charging the battery in-camera. It's really a joy to be able to take photographs of birds that would otherwise be impossible to take without expensive lenses on a DSLR, like my D7200, which I also love. I highly recommend the Nikon Coolpix P900. If you're on a budget, buying factory refurbished is a great way to save money, and the money saved can go towards accessories. B&H Photo is a trusted resource, and shipping was fast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light, super super zoom Using for taking photos of birds, etc. GREAT zoom! Have to hold it very steady at outer limits. Menus take awhile to learn. Buy extra batteries, UV filter and hood. Extremely light camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from major step up for me with the right brand i bought a refurbished model because i am a VERY inexperienced shooter. while the number of features this camera has is daunting for me, i have started at the default automatic settings and will progress from there. the quality of the shots is far superior to my much smaller coolpix from years ago. i expect to get more sophisticated over time. i do highly recommend finding a good explanatory book to make things easier and faster to learn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy from B&H with no hesitation!! B & H is the best!!! They are fast and friendly! This is the second camera purchase I have made over the last couple of years. My P520 was refurbished also. I trust in B&H's professionalism and camera knowledge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes. I like the different lens settings. This a nice camera. I still have a lot to learn about it. I have a hard time holding it still. My grandson and I have fun exploring it! My favorite camera is my D810. Your service is very good. I always recommend B & H.
