Gary Fong BNCPL-02 overview

  • 1Description

Improve the quality of your Sony a6000, a6300, or a6500's pop-up flash with this set of Bounce Panels from Gary Fong. Featuring both Half-Cloud and Amber panels, users have a couple options for modifying their flash with a compact item that conveniently slides into the camera's hot shoe. The Half-Cloud provides a neutral diffusion that will soften shadows and reduce hot spots from the flash while the Amber will do the same, but add some warmth to the image, mimicking the look of a sunset or tungsten lighting. Additionally, these panels can be reversed to save space and serve as a protector for the camera's rear LCD screen.

    Gary Fong BNCPL-02 reviews

Bounce Panel Set for Sony a6000, a6300, and a6500 is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from More of a screen protector than a flash bounce I bought these and the FM Photography flash bounces to try them both out, and I like the FM flash bounce better. The Fong set does not include a clear card which I like for the most bounced light. The white and amber card diffuse the light just fine but the Fong diffusers are much bigger and have a 90deg. shape that juts out - not comfortable to slip it in your pocket while walking around. It gets away from the compact camera system that I bought and intend to travel with. If I try to just keep the flash bounce on my camera (as a means to store it there, avoiding my pocket), it is gaudy and larger than it looks in the photos online - it catches unwanted attention, unlike FM's smaller bounce. I want something that performs well, but is low key and easy to carry. Inverting it is nice to protect the LCD, but this product tries too hard to be a screen protector and not enough to be a flash bounce. And I already have my traditional clear screen protector for that reason - something I don't have to remove every time I want to review my pics. After comparing the two, I much prefer the FM Photography flash bounce, and my wallet did too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They are ok I got these for use on my a6000 the clear one is pretty useful but the orange one is pretty useless . If you use a bigger lens for example the Sony 18-105 G lens the flash with actually show a shadow of the lens in the picture .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure genius! Just got my new a6500, and this is a must have. Turns that harsh direct flash into near perfect lighting. The yellow for at night in a room lit with typical, low color temperature light. And the white for daylight, or high color temp rooms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product Works as advertised. A little pricey for what it is.
