    CAME-TV F-55 reviews

Boltzen 55W Focusable LED Fresnel 3-Light Kit is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Up My Life I use these lights in my studio for video shooting and am very pleased with them. They preform exactly as advertised right out of the box. Powerful, lightweight, adjustable, and economical they grace the top of my adjustable light stands. They are positioned about 20 feet from the talent and have plenty of light throw. Any concerns about the cooing fan noise--forget it. I can barely detect any noise right next to the light let alone from 20 feet away. I searched for over a year for this type of light and can rest now having found these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from D-TAP and NPF only works at half power If you are buying this light to power off D-TAP and or NPF batteries for portability do not. It will shut off if you go past 50 to 60% power. Also for WIFI you need another extension to make that work. So know that. They need to change the description to say WIFI ENABLED - WITH OPTIONAL WIFI ADAPTER. Very misleading the way you have it right now just saying WIFI Enabled. Also to trump it all I got 2 55w power adapters and 1 30w power adapter in my kit so I have to wait for for you guys to send me another power adapter that is 55w.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang for the Buck Great Spots Good power, good throw, good color, and great powering options. This light can be powered off Sony NP batteries, off of D-Tap, or AC Wall power. A very versatile set of lights that can fit in a small backpack. This LED Light has two different versions. A great option from the manufacturer. One has a built in fan and the other has no fan in case you are concerned about fan noise.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More of an focusable open face w/ fan noise rather then a fr Had great hopes for these LED's as they got so much blogger buzz pre-release. A bit dissaponted but what can you expect given the relatively low cost. YES, low cost, please remember that a proper fresnel like the Arri 150 with barn doors costs about $380 a piece, set of 3 would be over $1100. Starting with the free case its almost useless for the set of 3 because the lights need to be completely dissembled to fit in, even the yokes completely removed. Meaning if you wanted to store them in the included case you would be assembling and dissasembling for every use. Back to the fixtures, compared with an Arri 300 as per hard shadow and focus ability. Falls way short. The lens is not a proper fresnel lens rather more of a plastic filter. The over all spot and flood function work well, But if you are trying to create hard patterns like a light slash with the barn doors or even black wrap cut outs you too will be disappointed. Lastly fan noise, is it quite, yes, is it there YES. So if you have 1, 2, or 3 of these units in close proximity to a subject or in an otherwise silent room it may be an significant issue. If there is a level of ambient noise in the room already, operating outdoors, or are skilled with noise removal in post process its not as much of a concern. Overall, this should more be considered a focusable open face, not a fresnel. There is a low level of fan noise if operating in a confined space. Still a good relative value for what it is compared to other products on the market. Included hard case is fairly useless if you want to keep lights assembled and ready to use. Likely I will be returning them as the noise issue is a deal breaker for me. A fan-less version with a similar output is supposed to be released soon. A gentle reminder, the blogger buzz is because usually they get free stuff... the business of blog.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's good for outdoor use Had high hopes for this fixture based on various blog reviews... forgot they are more positive because they get free products. The light is more of a focusable open face, though the spread is rather even. Making sharp cuts like slashes and narrow bands of light with the bard doors or black wrap pattern as you would do with a true fresnel like an Arri 300 were disappointing. Very soft edges and greatly diminished intensity. Fan noise is appreciable if you are in a confined space or otherwise silent room especially were 3 to be running at the same time. Outdoors wouldn't be an issue, if you were sure of your post flow and could always remove with a program like Adobe Audition also wouldn't be a problem. Its not an intense or overbearing fan noise... but its there. Included Case is rather silly or actually absurd. It will fit the 3 lights only when they are 100% dissasembled. This means the stand yokes completely removed so in order to keep them in supplied case you will need to effort 20 minute build & disassembly every time you use the. If they used a case that was only a few inches larger this wouldn't be an issue at all. Overall yes it is a great value for a 3 light focusable fresnel kit (that you will put in a different case). But I will be returning as the downside does not fit my current needs for an actual fresnel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seem nice but one was DOA Seem nice but one of them was DOA, (dead on arrival and does not work... the rear panel just lights up but does not display information and no light from led source. I will try to exchange for another set and hopefully this was just a fluke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for a great price! I always use this on my set, from chroma work, interviews, short films. Love how it last a very long time with V-mount batteries. I use Rolux V-mount and works great with it.
