Is the SpiderLight holster compatible with SpiderPro?
    Asked by: Randall
Yes, the Spider Camera Holster SpiderLight Holster and Plate Box Set would also be compatible for use with the SpiderPro. According to Spider Holster, all Spider Camera System Pins will work with all Spider Camera Holsters. The SpiderLight Holster is originally designed for use with mirrorless cameras and small DSLR cameras, but if you already own the Spider Pro holster, you can use the SpiderLight plate with the Spider Pro holster (and vice-versa).

Will this holster work with just a pin in the ...

Will this holster work with just a pin in the tripod socket of a camera, without the plate? Or is the plate required when using this holster?
    Asked by: Dean
Hi Dean and thank you. You will need to order the Spider pin alone (NOT the Anti Twist pin, we have two versions) so you can connect to your 14/20" thread directly on your camera instead of using the Spider plate. That said, the Spider plate was created as most photographers use a tripod at some point, and also the plate situates the camera correctly (upside down) for optimal carry/use. Please feel free to contact us directly for further clarifications/suggestions Thank you, Spider Team

Does anyone have experience using this holster with just a pin, no plate? Or is the plate required to use with this holster? Ideally I'd like to just put the pin in the tripod socket on my Fuji f100v, similar to how the Black Widow holster works.
    Asked by: Dean
Yes, using just the pin screwed into the camera will work great, but... make sure it is tight. It wants to unscrew as you walk around. I hiked all around Maui and the big island carrying my fm2 that way, I love it.
