Use the SpiderLight BackPacker Kit with Holster, Plate and Pin from Spider Camera Holster to securely attach a SpiderLight Holster and select GoPro accessories to a backpack strap or messenger bag strap. The quick snap-in connection fastens the SpiderLight Adapter to your bag's strap. And the ergonomic adapter shape works with the body's natural contours for optimal carrying. The adapter pad employs elastic band wraps around the camera lens to prevent camera movement when walking or hiking. For versatility, this kit comes with a SpiderLight Holster, plate, pin and a GoPro adapter plate that mates with various GoPro accessories. The GoPro adapter plate automatically locks when inserted into the adapter.

  • Spider/GoPro adapter plate - allows full compatibility with GoPro accessories/cameras
  • Sliding the holster into the adapter automatically engages the locking mechanism
  • Adapter's unique design allows quick insertion of the LIGHT Holster base for camera carry
  • The adapter pad cushions your camera
  • Elastic bands wrap around camera lens for stability
  • Arca-Swiss geometry/design

SpiderLight BackPacker Kit with Holster, Plate and Pin is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice addition for hiking Great way to help make a camera easily available especially while hiking - hand's free and don't have to worry about the camera swinging around while climbing, etc. Does add weight - but it's worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. Highly recommended. I've been a Spider Pro Holster and hand grip user for a year now and really love both products. In both cases, I've replaced the equivalent Peak Design products. Very well conceived and made. The holster does a really great job for heavy DSLR/big lens weight distribution. My typical roaming rig has been to use the Spider holster for one DSLR (with the Spider handgrip) with a big zoom (typically 100-400 Canon L lens), a 2nd DSLR (Peak design handgrip) on a strap, and a messenger bag with sundry bits while walking around. I saw an ad for the BackPacker Kit and decided to see how it would fare on the messenger bag in lieu of a strap. The BackPacker kit is every bit as good as the holster, but with the added benefit of not needing the whole belt. Attachment and detachment to the messenger bag strap is easy and secure. I really like the finger/slot design Spider employs and their mechanical release button when used really gives me confidence that the camera won't accidentally dislodge itself. The finger/slot design makes for both very rapid retrieval and seating of the camera. The ability to move the holster to anywhere on the strap also makes this a very comfortable arrangement. The holster belt is really great for heavy loads, but for a lighter load (e.g. a mirrorless rig or DSLR with small/mid size lens), the Backpacker kit works extremely well attached to the messenger bag strap. I imagine it would also be fantastic on a backpack strap. Even with a big lens the backpacker works well, although I recommend the holster for a big zoom just for the weight redistribution onto your hips. Some other photographer friends of mine have balked at the size of the holster belt, and its not especially fashionable. The Backpacker is much more fashionable IMHO, and still provides many of the benefits of the holster belt.
