Marumi DHG Solid NDSolar Eclipse Filter (16.5-Stop)
Key Features
  • 5.0 Optical Density
  • Digital High-Grade Multi-Coating
  • Optical Glass Construction
  • Aluminum-Alloy Filter Ring
This 58mm Marumi DHG Solid NDSolar Eclipse Filter provides a 16.5-stop exposure reduction. Its 5.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image that is effective for solar eclipse photography. You can also use it to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

will this the Cannon LA-DC58K Lense Adapter I just bought from you all ?
Asked by: Gary
Although the Canon LA-DC58K Lens Adapter has 58mm threads, attaching a 58mm filter might cause vignetting.

question

Is this filter CE or ISO Certified?
Asked by: Sha K.
I have used the filter for successful photos of the sun. The packaging does not indicate certification, but it does state that the filter is not suitable for direct viewing or for viewing through a camera's optical view finder.

question

Will this filter fit the Canon 52mm Drop-in Filter Holder?
Asked by: Reed
NOOOO! You don't want to use a drop in filter to photograph the sun - even if it fits. You must have a filter that fits on the front of your lens to prevent heat buildup.
