This B&H Kit includes two HyperCore 98 RED V-Mount Batteries and the simultaneous Fleet D Dual Charger from Core SWX.
The HyperCore battery features high-density HyperCore cells, which were originally developed for a high-draw military application. The battery is capable of handling 10A draws for extended periods without diminishing service life. The HyperCore 98 RED is made specifically for RED cameras, to communicate directly with the camera and deliver the exact percentage of remaining capacity to the camera's VF/LCD. The HyperCore RED has a sleek design, anti-impact housing, rubberized exterior, large LCD, reliable readout computer, advanced hibernation feature, safety sensors, and much more. It offers an approximate 1.5 hour run-time with the RED Scarlet or Epic.
The Fleet D can recharge both HyperCore 98 RED batteries in about 2.5 hours. This charger has a robust all-aluminum, stackable design and a recessed carry handle allowing for portability.

The HC-98RED HyperCore Battery from Core SWX features 98 watt-hours and is designed to power RED cameras. It communicates directly with your camera, delivering the exact percentage of remaining capacity to the camera's VF/LCD. Additionally, the battery cells can withstand up to a 10A draw for extended periods of time without diminishing service life. There is an over molded, rubberized housing for protection against accidental impacts and a runtime LCD on the front of the pack. The LCD display shows the battery's lifespan in hours and minutes, an estimation of run time based on a dummy load of 30W when in standby mode, and serves as a charge indicator when the battery is charging.
The Hypercore Red Battery is outfitted with an accelerometer to detect motion and a clocking algorithm to gauge how long the battery is not in use. This system will cause the battery to sleep or hibernate when there is no battery usage or movement after a 48-hour period. When the battery detects movement it will automatically re-awaken at maximum capacity, ready for use. There is an integrated D-tap connection for powering a 12 VDC device as well as a USB power output. The battery pack also offers a V-mount and falls within the range of accepted capacity for air travel.
