Will this Ball Head mount to a Manfrotto Tripod?
It sure looks like it would mount to my Gitzo, and I had a old Bogen head on that for a long time. The only Manfrotto I have is a lightweight, but the mount looks the same.

Will the screw knob interfere with a fold down lcd screen on the D850?
Sorry, I do not know the answer to that question. I have the Z6 & Z7 and their screens bend down at about a 45 degree angle and that does not interfere with the screw-knob. Hope that helps --- Jim

How much turning is required to open/close the clamp of the screw-knob version?
Not a whole lot. Maybe 2 full turns if you drop the plate from the top. Less so if you slide the plate from the side. All depends. But the security of the screw knob gives me comfort and peace of mind.

question
Is anyone using this on a Gitzo GT2545T(Series 2 Traveler)? Or too big for the tripod?
If you are serious about photography, this is a very good ball head. I like it very much. Of course, when you are searching this ball head, I assume you have a good tripod too, not something wobbly cost $100 level
