A separate tension knob is provided to apply the appropriate pressure that safely corresponds to the weight of your camera. A third knob loosens and locks the panning base which is laser-engraved with markers every 2.5 degrees from 0 to 360 degrees.

I have 2009 BH-40 and T-Knob is hitting tripod platform. Is the new version shorter and doesn't hit floor when rotating the T-knob?

Will the compact lever clamp work with Small Rig L Bracket? Would it possibly be too tight or too loose?
While this should accommodate arca-swiss plates from any brand, the RRS lever-release clamps are engineered for best fit with their own plates and L-brackets and are not recommended by RRS.
