Love it, well built and sturdy. It is indeed pricy but I couldn't find a less expensive version in a different brand.

    Another unmatched RRS product!

Until you’ve tried RRS products, you don’t know what quality is. I’ve been using RRS products for 5 years, and they never cease to amaze me. Even after using 2 of their tripods, with smaller RRS ball heads, and various RRS mounting plates for different brands of cameras over the years, I was shocked again at the size, weight, and quality of the BH-55 at unboxing. This ball head renders my nearly 10 pound rig an afterthought! With the TVC-33 tripod and the BH-55 head, I can even use the buttons on the camera without introducing any movement! And with a 46 mp camera, this is a Godsend. Don’t take my word for it, or even the word of every other review here. Just look at the video reviews on the web, but keep your eye on the RRS equipment therein. When the reviewers work the head, or the tripod, or even lean on the rig, note the total lack of movement in the equipment. They may as well be leaning on a Boulder! If you can afford the price, buy this head, and preferably a complete RRS setup. You will never be disappointed!

WOW! Superior build quality. Main locking know, large knob, is silk smooth and holds a Canon 1DX in place very securely. I will be buying more RRS equipment.

I found lining it up in a pano so the images stiched together correctly without any being crooked very difficult especially with my hand tremors, the 3-way cambo head worked better for me.

Absolultely! Very smooth and solid. This is one of the best ballheads made. Just make sure your arca bracket is properly sized and fits tightly. (Some of the off-brands are off a little in their dimensions.)
