Another Outstanding RRS Product

The RRS lens foot for Nikon 200-400mm VR fit and finish is the best in the photography business. It is the small attention to details that sets Really Right Stuff from the others in the industry. For example, the access to all the fasteners holes are easier to access than other designs, the radius on top of the foot make it more comfortable to carry the lens, and QD on the bottom of the plate is an added feature. All my Nikon telephoto lens have a RRS lens foot, after all you have spent thousands on a lens and why chance damaging it with cheap foot?

The fit and finish is great, as expected from a RRS product. The ridge on the top edge fits my hand perfectly for hand carrying the lens. Great product.

Really Right Stuff LCF-14 Foot for Nikon 200-400mm VR & VR I

You can't really go wrong when you order and use RRS gear and B and H. RRS is expensive, no doubt on that. But they are well engineered and tough to say the least. I have a tripod, ball head and other gear all RRS. But the gear is made to withstand a lot of harsh treatment and conditions. I have shot in all most white out conditions in Montana to deserts. This foot went to a Nikon 300 F2.8 VRII lens. It mounts on my RRS Ball head (55) and fits perfect. It is balanced and I also use it on the monopod. Prior to switching to RRS gear I had 2 other decently priced tripods, mono's etc. And it always seemed I was having to buy bigger etc as my line of gear and lenses went up. I went all in on RRS and have not looked back or regretted it. Just like B and H who have been excellent in their pricing and service RRS tech support etc are a phone call away. I had what was a minor issue recently shooting along the coast of Maine. I tried to figure out why a leg on the tripod I had cleaned before the trip was still not locking all way tight. I had some time and called RRS while doing some downloads. Five minutes it was fixed and my fault for seeing I had placed a pad in the wrong spot. But they were like hey man no worries good luck with the shooting and if you need us call. WOW. So you know I do not get paid by RRS, B and H etc. I have shot (Nikon) over 50 years and just know what I have spent and expect.

Perfect.

Long Arca-style plate for quick and secure mounting to any Arca-style head, combined with a QD socket for quick camera strap attachment and removal (used with my BlackRapid strap). Beautifully engineered and lightweight to boot...perfect.

question

Will this fit my Nikon 180-400 f/4e TC-1.4 FL ED lens?
Asked by: Anonymous
I use the older version of the LCF 14 (without the OD socket) that I took off my 300mm f2.8. It works great. The LCF-19 has been back-order for a long time---I thinking of just purchasing another LCF 14 with the OD socket for the 180-400mm
