Precisely machined from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum, the Really Right Stuff LCF-53 Foot will replace the original foot of a Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM lens with internal 1.4x teleconverter or a version II 400mm, 500mm, or 600mm IS USM lens and provides an extremely durable and stable platform for your lens. The foot incorporates an Arca-type compatible dovetail that allows users to enjoy a lower profile and lighter setup. The bottom of the foot features a standard 1/4"-20 accessory thread, while an integrated strap lug is available at the front. Additionally, the foot comes with two safety-stop screws to prevent the foot from accidentally sliding out of some clamps and it is made in the USA.

This is a wow product. Easy to install, and fits perfectly. Holds a large telephoto securely. Wrench included. Installed on a canon 500mm prime.

Installed this foot immediately on my new lens and could not be happier. Very simple install, took about sixty seconds, even came with the correct tool. Thanks to all that recommended this device, eliminating the need for a Arca-Swiss plate.

Fits perfectly. Bought a new foot for new lens. Lightweight, easy to grab and hold while walking with lens in hand. I had the same foot for my 600mm v2. Used it for 6 years with no issues.

The best kind of gear is the kind you never have to worry about. It just works. This Really Right Stuff Arca Swiss foot for the Canon 500mm f/4 lens is beautifully made and functions perfectly. It's even nice to look at. Changing it out from the original Canon foot was easy. It's more stable than adding a plate to the original foot and it will last forever. I will never have to think about it again and that's perfect.

I installed it on my 500mm and it works perfect, Elimimates the need for an adapter plate between the camera foot and the tripod head. Easy to install even comes with tpols

I asked RRS and they said it is most likely not compatible. Also went to Wimberley's website and there isn't any mention that the series 2 foot would work with the V1 lens. The holes are probably off by a mere millimeter or 2.
