I have a Slik Pro DXShort Tripod with Slick Ball Head that I use mostly for Macro Photography. This bag fits this tripod like a glove. The bag has a small exterior pocket for the tripod manual, and a business card slot. Made of heady duty canvas with side and top straps, plus a shoulder strap. ~PhotosByMeta

Not so snug as a glove. I am using the Compact bag for a Gitzo G1544T Traveler Series tripod (very similar to the current G1545T) with a RRS BH-40 head on it. I was afraid the bag would be too tight with the BH-40 head, but it is perfect. It is not a chore at all to open or close the zipper with the bag loaded. The tripod would even fit fine with my RRS BH-55 or Arca Swiss B1. The legs must be must be folded back over the head to fit the tripod in the bag, but the fit is generous in diameter at the wider end. There is even enough room to put the RRS padded cloth bag over the ballhead to protect it from dirty tripod feet which is nice. The bag is very well made and should last a lifetime of travel and abuse. My only complaint is that the embroidered RRS graphics are overly bold. I wish they were more subdued. While RRS advertises that all of their tripod and ball head products are made in the USA down to the hardware used, the tripod bags are made in China. They are still absolutely top quality, and would probably cost three times more if they were made in the US.

Great bag. Very well constructed. Holds my Travis 3 Legged Thing tripod with ease. Would highly recommend this product. Note: there was.a redesign and there is no longer a mesh pocket in the top. Not a big deal as there is room on top of tripod to store filters if you need to. Side pocket is still there and easily holds my remote shutter release.

Purchased this to replace my Benro Travel Angel Tripod Bag (that has signs of wear and tear with not much use).  This was a tight fit but is much better, in quality and protection of my tripod.  Highly recommended.
